In July, we'll see a new Naruto movie with a completely different Konoha!
The Uchiha clan seems to be ok and Sasuke is a playboy?
He wears jewelry and he's a swag guy? Whaaaaat?

Also, Hinata is a bad girl with a mean look...

I'm just sort of puzzled about the fact that, apparently, Naruto's parents being alive means gigantic personality changes for the rest of the cast.

Also, I really want to know what's up with Ino! Her new design looks sorta cool, but it also appears that she's had a complete personality change for some inexplicable reason.

Also, If Minato is alive in the movie, it means that Naruto probably has some badas** moves, because, you know, his father is a hokage and he can teach him ninjutsu.

Recently I found out that Kakashi is supposed to be hot-headed, Guy is like cool and laid back, and Shikamaru is supposed to be kinda dumb, lol.

Overall, everyone acts the opposite of who they are, sounds like fun. :D

Update, heres a poster




I think this movie could be an alternative universe, perhaps a genjutsu of Tobi which all the Naruto characters are living in, however they have different personalities.

If you look at Hinata she seems more confident as implied with her jacket being unzipped, if thats so she might not even be the Hinata we know in the actual series and may not have a crush on Naruto. Also look at Ino, she looks more like the actual Hinata and may like Naruto. Also if you look at Shikamaru, he's sticking his tongue out, perhaps in this reality he's the class clown and isn't lazy? Perhaps Minato and Kushina are alive too, and this could tell us in this alternative universe there wasn't a Kyuubi attack which caused many people to gain different personalities.

Also look at the designs for Sasuke:


He seems a lot more friendly and his clothing is a lot more different. That tells us perhaps there was no Uchiha massacre and he is still friends with Naruto



Here we see in another poster that Sasuke is in a ramen shop trying to impress Sakura and she is blushing and looks unsure, perhaps she does't really like him in this reality and he's trying to win her over, whilst Naruto is shocked and looks disgusted. Perhaps he doesn't have a crush on Sakura in this reality and is embarrassed by their romance rather thsn jealousy from the Naruto we know from the actual reality. Kakashi also looks a lot more hyper than usual, perhaps his personality is switched with Guy's?

These images tell us a lot of the movie. I predict an alternative Universe where the Konoha village is completely different.

The fact that Sasuke is going to be a playboy and hinata's gonna be Bad a** is kind of shocking. Whats really shocking is how Tsunade, Shizune, Tonton, and Sai looks. When i saw their looks i freaked out.

Actually I am pretty looking forward to it, because I do not like the Naruto movies series sometimes, and all of the stories are not created by Kishimoto, but this one ROAD TO NINJA is his original story!

The funny thing is that if you reverse the personalities in the right way, the various friendships/rivalries/love-triangles still work out the same way.

It seems very apparent that Ino-Hinata, Tsunade-Shizune, and Guy-Kakashi are switched, it seems lightly hinted that Shikamaru-Kiba and Choji-Shino are also switched. If we assume that Sasuke-Naruto are also switched then most of the relationships still work.

Shy Ino would like nice guy Sasuke, shallow Hinata would be hung up on cool guy Naruto, etc.

I would assume Lee would be the smug kung fu guy with Neji being his hard working clumsy foil. Ten Ten never really got much personality so swapping her with anyone would be kind of pointless, which leaves Sakura a little high and dry without any obvious partner to swap with.

I wonder if Hinata will still be using her shy quiet voice.

I recall a radio interview from a couple years ago featuring Junko Takeuchi (Naruto's voice actress) and Nana Mizuki (Hinata's voice actress) talking about Nana's vocal range, with Junko completely fangirling over the idea of Hinata's lines being read in a deeper voice.

It would be interesting if they deciding to give Hinata a more mature confident voice to go with the alternate personality.

I can't wait to see this. It'll be so..different. ._. I wonder why Kishi is making this into a movie instead of into the actual series.. Well, maybe he has something else rather than Madara's Tsuki no Me plan to put in the series. But this new movie sounds really..interesting? fun? x3

Heh, just saw an extended version of the trailer on youtube. It is mostly the same, only less rushed and with a little more narration... which was totally untranslated. :(

It opened with a short summary of the Kushina flashback of how Kyuubi got sealed in Naruto, followed by the skirmish of Naruto vs Tobi.

The clip of Sasuke has him say something to Sakura as he hands her the flower. Hinata only gets in one word, but her voice actually does sound deeper. b:P (guess Junko got her wish of having Nana use a different voice in a future movie) Looking closer at that clip, the look on Naruto's face seems to be that Hinata is chewing him out rather than fighting him.

There is an added clip of Naruto looking at a picture album showing a montage of Minato and Kushina raising him; them holding him as a baby, Kushina pushing him on that swing that he is usually seen on alone in flashbacks, a birthday party, ending with Kushina hugging him and Naruto looking very emotionally vulnerable.

Then it is some rapid fire clips of the Akatsuki in full force, some fighting, Kushina taking a hit for Naruto, the Kyuubi battle and Naruto in kage cloak, and a very short shot of somebody in a mask (kinda resembles Sasuke's hair, but it is to short to get much detail).

I wish it had a translation though...
