Kenpachi is the strongest captain in the Gotei 13
 

He's done this:

He in Soul Society arc could fend off two Captains while patched (Komamura and Tousen), something NO Captain in the Gotei13 I see doing.
He could defeat Tousen without 3 of his senses and he was skilled and agile enough to dodge Tousen's strikes to the point where they would not be fatal.
He is by far the Gotei13 Captain with the greatest endurance of all, including probably even old man Yamamoto. He let himself be stabbed by Tousen just to capture him, and it was a stabb in the stomach and he laughed at it, he was not badly injured even despite having a stabb in the stomach.
Against Nnoitra he was stabbed 3 times with Nnoitra's hand(a hand stabb is MUCH deadlier than a sword strike BTW) in the stomach and was easily slashed more than 10 times by Nnoitra as well, one of those slashes being in the neck, a fatal injurie, yet after all these injuries, no, before he got the final slash in the neck, even with all those injuries that would certainly put down a Captain and even most arrancars/espadas he could still fight against Nnoitra and was even laughing and enjoying his battle, something you don't see any Captain doing except Yamamoto who could take a stabb from Aizen in the stomach and act like it wasn't a fatal injurie at all like Kenpachi does.
And yes, even after all these injuries he pulls of a two handed sword strike that was powerfull enough to almost bissect Nnoitra in half, and as most people know, Nnoitra is the Espada with the toughest hierro of all, and via feats we can see that Nnoitra's hierro is above any other Espada by a considerable ammount. Again I say: Kenpachi did this with A SINGLE two handed sword strike from mid-range, and the strike also cut all of Nnoitra's arms and weapons ...

If he can do this then who the hell is the Captain that would even DARE face him at mid-range while Kenpachi show's off strikes that can one-shot the most durable arrancar of them all at mid-range??? Yes, Kenpachi only used one strike but his Kendo can be used just like how everyone uses, swinging it arround, it's not like his Kendo is any different than the other characthers, well actually there is a difference, his is so much more powerfull than any other Captain or even Espada (yes I dare to speculate that even RSE Ulquiorra does not have a strike like Kenpachi's kendo) that it's not even a funny comparison at all.

Kenpachi has showed 4 things that far surpass all the Captains in the Gotei13: (I repeat, he far surpasses all the captains in the below stats, not just barely).

His reiatsu levels.
His physical strength.
His immense endurance.
And his reactions/reflexes.

His speed is not among the best Captains but he is not that slow that the other Captains would be able to run circles arround him ( not even close) or win because of that. As I said before, he with his eyeptach on has reactions that allow him to dodge fatal wounds while he has 3 senses off, two of those being not able to see or hear, and shinigami Tousen is arround an average Captain in speed or just a bit above it.

Sorry, but all Kenpachi needs to put down a Captain (and I say ANY CAPTAIN except Yamamoto) is one of his non-patched Strikes (yes even single-handed strikes are more than enough as one could badly wound Nnoitra to the point where he had to release to regenerate), while all the other Captains would have to put a lot of effort, and effort that could cost taking a strike themselves by Kenpachi wich would be instant KO. A kendo strike insta kills any Captain in half. If Nnoitra who has far more durability than any Captain was almost bissected by a fairly worn out Kenpachi then the Captains won't even stand a chance of EVEN BLOCKING, much less tanking it or survive it.

All this said:

Kendo Kenpachi without his eyeptach IS DEFINITELY the strongest Gotei13 Captain after Yamamoto.


I still fail to see why he would lose to Byakuya so easily, since he's blitzed Shikai Ichigo who can react to Byakuya even while injured and bandages all over him.

I don't think that he could beat Mayuri, however. Mayuri would kill Kenpachi from the inside, whether it be by poison or by the drug that killed Szayel Apporo Granz, bypassing his durability entirely. Kenpachi can't react to that. He could possibly use a Kendo strike to kill or heavily damage Konjiki Ashishogi Jizo, but other than that, Kenpachi's got no chance. I can definitely see your reasoning, though.

Byakuya might be able to stop him. Newest Renji (prepped for Aizen) might be able to beat him too.

Without a doubt Kenpachi is the most brutal, and to me actually can be the strongest once he gets a Bankai

Yamamoto took Wonderweiss down with his hands, that's all the manga has shown him doing, which is pretty rad....wish they gave him more feats, because as you say, feat wise, Kenpachi has pwned almost everyone (except Ichigo)

He may have lost to Ichigo, but he really wore him down.

Also, I say he's definitely the strongest physically. I'm hoping he at least unlocks shikai by the end of the series, which I imagine will manifest as Shredder's fist. But his Bankai will be a humiliating kido-based affair that goes off like an atom bomb. :lol:

Just for kicks, if he unlocks the final form, he manifests as a vicious buccaneer clothed in the flesh of Chuck Norris. And he carries Bruce Lee's head in a sack he swings around to pummel foes into mush.

Byakuya would definitely wear Kenpachi down in a fight, but the strongest physically, yeah Ken is.

Kenpachi is strong but Hitsugaya might be stronger. You also have to put in mind that Kenpachi has no bankai but that has not stopped him before...so i'm not sure
