Vandenreich! Seen a few people trying to translate this from German and Dutch and they are coming up with stuff like "From the Empire" so maybe they have been sent by the SOul King.
hmm....what was the guy trying to do, steal Ichigo's bankai? For what purpose? Poor Sasakibe, we didn't even get to see if his Shikai does anything cool. |

German is being thrown around all over the place. I like how each group uses a different language as their base. That's one thing I always find interesting.
THAT WAS NOT A BOW AND ARROW. It was more like 3 cannons were mounted on a movable wall. He's a souped up Quincy if anything. Ishida's cross became a pentacle when he regained his powers, but the cross used by Ivan doesn't have the circle around the cross. Is that going to be significant maybe or was this just to make Ishida a bit cooler? xD I'm not having fun with Bleach right now. It's moving too fast and Ichigo is just like knocking away attacks and people without hesitation or any type of injury. Ivan just tried to seal Ichigo's power, which was starting to work, but then he defaults to the all powerful Getsuga Tensho. >.> Enough of the blind rush forward. I just want to know what's happening. |

Am I the only one who who hasn't got a clue what happened this chapter im so confused what was ivan tryin to do to Ichigos bankai. I would say the anime will make it more clear but that won't happen now with the anime ending.

Via Google Translate, "Krieg Erklarung" is German for, "declaration of War" (of course, the a has two dots above it), and the Vandenreich is the "Vanden Empire". I'm getting so psyched about Bleach again because it's finally gotten interesting. Plus, we know almost nothing about the Vandenreich. The Vandenreich really creeps me out. Those masks are just creepy, dude.

So Ivan says he's not here for Ichigo and calls him ignorant for thinking that. But then he gets all wet when Ichigo uses Bankai and it clearly seems like his motive was to steal it (didn't this just happen?).
He uses a Quincy pentacle, but doesn't use arrows. He has a leftover Hollow mask similar to Arrancar, but hates being called it. This character is all over the place. My guess is that the Vandenreich are simply rogue/angry Quincy. That they simply renamed themselves or something for vengeance. That was one helluva Quincy arrow Sasakibe ate. Anyone have guesses as to who Hiyori "smelled"? She claims its Shinigami but my guess is that this Vandenreich have absorbed Shinigami/Arrancar. |

Wouldn't it be enough to say they absorb Arrancar since they are the combination of Shinigami and Hollow?

Good chapter.
Only thing I didn't like was the chapter cover with the Vander masks being all black and blending in with the title...it's hard to tell what was going on there. |

I still hate Bleach, but I hated this much less than anythign since Chapters 1-45 or so.
