Rock Lee's Spring Time of Youth anime spinoff Air April 3rd
 

Thanks to Anime News Network. The release date for the anime version of Rock Lee's Spring Time of Youth manga spinoff has been revealed. You can find the air date and other important info in the post below

Japanese publisherShueisha is announcing that the weeklyNaruto SD: Rock Lee no Seishun Full-Power Ninden anime will premiere onTV Tokyo on Tuesday, April 3 at 6:00 p.m. That timeslot is currently held by the Bleach anime. Shueisha is also noting that, like the main Naruto series, the Rock Lee spin-off anime will be animated byPierrot. The "SD" in the title stands for "Sugoi Doryoku," or "Super Determined."

Update: The announcement does not indicate if the new anime is taking Bleach's place, or sharing the timeslot.

Thanks for the info I can't watch to watch it the manga chapters are pretty cool and it will be a good change from the seriousness currently in the Naruto anime and manga. I wonder if Viz will try to pick up the license for this series once it's out.

I actually agree with SchnarfTacular, I dont really like Lee either.....In fact, I used to hate him, honestly. He's gotten a little better in Shippuden, but even then, I still dont like him. But with all that said, I will get the Rock Lee special, if it gets imported here, as an OVA! Thats for sure! Now, if they do one for SAKURA, THEEEEN I might just skip out on it. Because I dislike Sakura, more than I dislike Lee....

Yeah, Lee is annoying, rash and hasty about a lot of things. Plus, Im still sore about what he did to Gaara, during the Chunin exams in the first series. But with Guy, I just have to draw the line right there buddy. Guy is one of my favorites! I really like him! I think hes probably the most, funniest character in Naruto, all together!!! You gotta love the green beast of the leaf!!!! XD Im on the same terms as you are, about his nuckle head of a student....ugh.....so irritating sometimes....

It's not just a special I think it's gonna be a proper series. It's based off the manga spin off Rock Lee's Spring Time of Youth created by Kenji Taira who is an assiatant to Kishimoto. So unless someone else decides to make a spin off manga about Sakura there won't be a anime made for her.

Thats what I heard about the new Rock Lee story. As for Sakura having a story, I kind of figured that wouldnt do one for her. I was just saying, thats all.

Guys, the reason why there is an anime spin off about Rock Lee is because there was a manga spin off by one of Kishimoto's editors. There won't be another type of spin off unless it is made into a manga first(For the most part).

Also how long will the show be? Is it going to be a really short anime and manga? It most likely will since anything that's a spin-off series is always short. And what channel will it be on? Will it go on Adult Swim? I think they will also make manga books for this series you can buy.
