Urahara VS Gin
As before, the conditions are meant to make the match more true to if both truly met and fought.
Conditions: - In character - Starting distance: Approximately equal to starting distance of Ichigo VS Gin, exact distance to be determined as necessary - Location: Area with trees, buildings, or otherwise tall landmarks which would allow Gin to utilize the same distraction tactic upon Urahara that he used on Ichigo - Because Urahara's main strength lies in his analysis of his opponents and his ability to invent weapons and technology that give him an edge in battle, Urahara receives knowledge of Gin's Shikai and enough prep time to invent anything considered plausable by debaters DEBATE! |
Re: Urahara VS Gin
I find this a tough match to decide, at least by just a glance.
Through powerscaling, they're roughly even. Urahara beat Aizen through only Ichigo's help, and on his own he could only fend off Aizen's earlier Hogyoku forms. Similarly, Gin should've kill Aizen in his second form and only failed as Aizen reached his third. The hype is also roughly the same. They're both high-level captains who left the Soul Society for different reasons. Which means it's mostly feats. Gin's Shikai should be matched easily by Urahara, but Bankai is a problem. It should be too fast for any of Urahara's Kido to block, and deflecting it with his sword would be an incredible challenge. If he catches Gin in a Bakudo, he'll have an open shot, but Gin should probably know enough about Urahara to be wary and keep a good distance. I can't see Urahara inventing something to get around Gin's Bankai or being able to predict Gin's powers. Even at close range, Buto and Buto Renjin should provide a massive problem. Urahara's Kido and Shikai shouldn't be fit to block something like that, and Urahara's injuries probably won't be easily healed, so I'm thinking Gin's got the greater chance of winning here. |
Re: Urahara VS Gin
Kisuke wins this
Why? Well he did perform high level kido on a high scale Aizen. But Gin killed Aizen persay, he did but he only did it because they was close to each other and it was a surprise attack. |

Now I lean towards Urahara, but I still say it's a close match. |

Aizen admitted that Uruhara was the only individual of greater intelligence than him, and thus deemed him a threat. In the end, it was Uruhara outsmarting Aizen that led to his downfall. Ichigo didn't need to fight Aizen; Aizen was already a leaking time bomb from the Kidou, and would have been sealed any moment along the time. Not to mention Uruhara created the Hogyokou. |
Re: Urahara VS Gin
yeah it would be a very close match,

Re: Urahara VS Gin
Whoa whoa.
Gin is good, but not that good. And you gave Urahara prep AND knowledge? What on earth.....Urahara takes this. Urahara is an all purpose fighter. A jack of all trades. -Yoruichi's is one of the fastest characters in the manga. Goddess of Flash. And arguably the greatest practitioner of Hakuda(Hand to Hand). Guess who matches her? Urahara -Mayuri is the most genius and tactical mind in Soul Society. Guess who surpasses him? Urahara -Tessai held a rank on par with Yoruichi and Yamamoto. The Kidou Corp Commader. Guess who can dream up Kidou that make Tessai's look like Hadou 31? Urahara -It had long since been thought that shinigami Aizen possessed more reiatsu than every character in the manga barring Yamamoto? Guess who proved that wrong? One Answer: Urahara We have him (Urahara) slipping out of Hogyoku Aizen's line of sight to replace himself with his Gigai before the latter can react. We have him casually tanking Aizen's slash without a hint of slowing down. We have him piercing a mid-Chrysalis Aizen's durability with just his Benihime. We even have Aizen say that kisuke's kido prowess would have killed him had it not been due to the hog. |
Re: Urahara VS Gin
Gin's bankai is the only real thing saving for the time being against Urahara.

Re: Urahara VS Gin
urahara uses a bakudo
and then hado no 91 |
Re: Urahara VS Gin
Gin's KNY is Urahara's biggest threat. He has yet to display the speed necessary to dodge it. Before anyone saids "Well he went toe to toe against Chrysalis Aizen" remember he had two other people for support, and there was that one time Aizen blitz him before the 90 Hado he performed on him.
I say Gin takes it. |
