Don't think Deidara can keep up with Jiraiya. He's at the very least as fast as V2 Killer B.

Blitz with Giant Rasengan? Deidara starts on the ground with no clay ready. He's not going to get away.

If Deidara starts in the air maybe we have a somewhat of a fight where Jiraiya doesn't destroy Deidara from the first second. It's still not exactly a fight unless we stack everything possible against Jiraiya.

For starters, Jiraiya is in base, no summons, Deidara starts in air with some clay already in his hands, then maybe we have a fight.

Few questions: C2 dragon or bird? Summons or no summons?(the toads can jump very high with great agility) Ma & Pa or just SM without them? (extendable tounges ect.)

Few answers: If it's a C2 Dragon that gives the most difficulty, Jiraiya might need to start in SM to win this(assuming his summons are banned). C1 Bird, Jiraiya still takes in base(and with no summons). Summons make this a stomp regardless of C2 or C1, SM or Base. Ma and Pa make it a stomp no matter the case, if Jiraiya starts in SM it'll have to be without them(though when people say he starts in SM it's generally accepted it means he has Shima and Fukasaku).

Deidara doesn't have a lot of options for killing Jiraiya though :|
But jiraiya has loads of jutsu at his disposal, if anything jiraiya should be handicapped

Jiraiya destroys in this fight. Deidara can't get out his range without taking himself outside the battlefield, and C4 won't have enough prep time by a long shot.

With summons available, Jiraiya just has Ma/Pa use War of Words to cut him down, or has Gamabunta simply drop on him, or uses Oil Flame Bomb, or or or or ---

The list goes on. Deidara can't take him down with anything short of C4 or C0, and the latter isn't even likely to kill him what with multiple boss summons available to take the impact. C4, as we've seen, can be beaten by a pretty simple substitution, and Jiraiya has Jutsu that allow him to detect chakra (detecting invisible Animal Path and chameleon summon), thus rendering C4 pretty much obsolete. That, and like I said, the fact that he won't have time to prep it.

C3 might cause damage, but again, prep time is not available and boss summons can tank it for Jiraiya.

C4/C0 are restricted here, but i want to ask if C4 takes prep. I thought he was just saving it for Itachi? He seemed like he didn't need to prep it before using it

It takes too long for the clone to build up and then deteriorate. It looked like Deidara couldn't really do anything until the clone broke down, and in that time period he's incinerated pretty quickly.

And again, Jiraiya CAN sense chakra/Jutsu to a degree, so it's easy to dodge.

Also, why would Deidara's only chances of winning be restricted? C3 is the only thing that can actually hurt, and it's pretty easily countered what with prep time needed and boss summons. C2 and lower Jiraiya can flat out headbutt into submission.

Deidara rapes. Deidara almost got Sasuke if he didn't summon. Deidara bombs all of Jiraiya summons the spams from the sky with dragon. The only reason Sasuke could beat Deidara was because of his speed. Base Sasuke is faster than SM Jiraiya. Deidara reacted to a Sasuke blitz. Deidara rapes.

But honestly SM Jiraiya has more speed than you think, should be able to dodge most of those
