    Spoiler:

    It's the destroyed part of Middle-Earth, up north-western, there's a map ^.
    He found his papers, yes, and he collected them and arranged them to form books, if I am right. Like he did with The Silmarillion, he made it chronological to some extend and made it possible to read and understandable, but we all agree his dad would have done a better job.

    Map of Beleriand was kind of complicated for me, but oh well...
    I only know some stuff I saw in youtube documentaries, so not much. But props to him for publishing stuff we didn't know about.
    Boromir is awesome, but yes, Turin is the best.

    Tolkien did some of the drawings himself and of course he drew the maps, I guess Christopher did some editing like he always does, the guy seems a bit of a douche bag to me, to be honest.
    Alan Lee did the majority of illustrations.
    Turin has to be one of the best characters in the series, his death was awesome, if I am right he's the first one to suicide in the legendarium.

    I don't have the illustrated edition, mine doesn't have art in it, and I imagined those dues differently, too, so when I saw the art I thought it was cool but I still some things were not like I imagined them. Example ships of Teleri pulled by swans, those look like boats in the art . Alan Lee is awesome anyway, total respect for him. He nail'd fall of Fingolfin
    The helm as awesome, I like it how Turin used it for his good, managed to use its magical potential.
    Yes, first two ages were better, due to there actually being many Dwarves and many forges of mithril. Anything made of mithril is awesome, no questions asked.
    I like all his scenes, he's awesome, badass, tough and kind at once.

    Yup, not even art in illustrated Silmarillion edition, sad. Smiting of the Lords was included as an art, though.
    I've seen it, Turin had it, that helm was great. Telchar is the greatest smith of all times, those guys in First Age were awesome. They made alliances, were merchants, aided Elves and got rich while doing it.
    That was cool. The one when he fell off his horse?

    "Ever my heart rises as we draw near the mountains. There is good rock here. This country has tough bones. I felt them in my feet as we came up from the dike. Give me a year and a hundred of my kin and I would make this a place that armies would break upon like water. ...Sleep! I feel the need of it. Yet my axe is restless in my hand. Give me a row of orc-necks and room to swing and all weariness will fall from me!"-Gimli {LOTR}
