I know in my experience, I've always tried to talk to those types of users on their terms and make them understand what they're doing and how they might better X Y or Z, depending on what the issue is. That rarely tends to work in the moment. But after talking it out with them once or twice, and others chiming in, then they tend to get it.

Unless they don't. Then they make like KT and escalate to a bannable offense and we're done either way . The hardest part is putting into their own terms so they'll both understand and WANT to actually make a change. But I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. If then they do things progressively more doubtful, then they tend to bring punishment on themselves.

I just don't know what to do with the guy, he's one of those "trolls everyone without meaning too" types - that its hard to punish because he's not overtly malignant

It's fine. I'll not censor someone for being honest . If that's how you really feel about him then I'm glad you spoke up about it. Discourse is a process, eggs can get broken.

This is exactly how I see him and we have three guys like that. he's the only one who seems to push it into "infuriating everyone" zone though the other two do but rarely whereas with POP its near constant. in that case since its not out of malice.. not sure what to do

don't think he's being a malicious troll but he is a formidable dunce I want the rest of the section staff to air their views on the matter but should they decide to..do you mind section banning him for say three months? I don't wanna ask for a global ban because I don't know if its needed but cutting him off from the BG's maybe better
