They didn't find the spy because the spy was Itachi Genius , they already said that and since we don't know when they found out they were being watched then how do you know that HE provoked them. The Uchiha didn't even start thinking about over throwing the village until after the 4th had died. And still you ignore the fact that Uchiha turn evil when they lose the ones they love most as seen with Madara, Obito and many other Uchiha, even Sasuke was on that path. So see ing as how Tobirama was right to worry about such things, what can you really blame him for other than being careful. Yes he put them in a corner, but he never said that they couldn't roam the village and interact with other people.

We do not know whenthe Uchiha found out they were being watched. It could have been right away and they planned every since or they could have found out near Tobirama's death.

THey could have found out they were being watched during Hiruzen's reign and the Uchiha defeated the spy and used sharigan on him to gather who sent him and the Uchiha would have known that Tobirama sent them

Afterall Tobirama started all of the organization so it is not hard to think of who caused it

He didn't prevoke the Uchiha the Uchiha were just fine until around the time of Danzo, they were not provoked until long after he was dead. Plus even Hashirama agreed that once an Uchiha loses a loved one they turn evil, after all the war and death that had gone on by that time, I'm surprised at what happened anymore.

How can you say TObirama is the better hokage when he provoked the Uchiha?

Yes, they were fighting because Tobirama was trying to make peace with the cloud when Ginakaku and Kinkaku decided to try and over throw the village and kill the 2RK during a war that Hashirama basically started.......just saying....

However, all we know about Tobirama's battle is who was involved, we don't know how the fight went down, what condition everyone was in going into the battle or what condition they were in when they came out, if all of them even came out of it alive. For all we know he might have killed the entire Kinaku force and the silver and gold brother could have barely just made it. All I'm saying is don't try to judge Tobirama off of things you don't know and I'll stop bringing of things that I don't fully know about Hashirama.....do we have a deal or would you like to go on?
