There aren't any rules we could put in place on top of what we already have that would stop retaliation better than keeping reps anonymous. Of course is there any reason why you bring up Rep Anonymity? Perhaps there's something that I could more thoroughly address.

I wouldn't say rep signing is common but it is used frequently in rep trades so it's not exactly rare.

if you're worried about revenge negging why not create a set of rep rules, like if there is proof for a pointless neg the rep gets deleted and yours gets slashed or sealed?

it kept the peace on NF until someone took an iron to their face over rep

oh really rep signing is common? I thought only a few of us did it

People tend to get very defensive of their rep so retaliation is one of the main reasons rep is kept anonymous. Of course that doesn't stop people from adding their names at the end of reps and downreps if they so choose, so it'd be silly to make the system anonymous in a vane attempt to stop rep trading.

any particular reason why rep is anonymous here? is it because you guys feared the type of rep beefing that happens on places like NF? or what?

could give them custom Avi's or allow them to see who repped them or something? That way it's less known by the members and still nice enough to be considered a good parting gift?

Well it's not truly important enough to cause several people to split hairs over, so we'll probably hold off on making retired general staff members stick out at all. There's still a plan to give retired staff members some kind of recognition, but what exactly that would be is still up in the air.

is it really that negative? I mean its literal but not harsh or anything - I didn't think we had a lot of staff, I mean I guess given the small population but yeah I can imagine then my suggestions being a little unfeasible

what do you think you guys are going to do?

Sajuuk was just one of many complaints. Most ultimately didn't approve of the title so I find it unlikely that they'd view a badge with any fewer grievances.

Not only that, but if you think we have quite a few staff members now, you'd be surprised to see how many retired staff members we have. And I'm not even sure if I got 'em all. Not sure I'd want to draw that much attention to them with a colored username, they'd probably appreciate it less than the title.

why not have like a custom badge or a bronze colored user name for the retired mods? I mean whatever I didn't see the point of Sajuuks thread..or why even Ex staff need a usergroup or title to begin with..but if its important and the term "ex" is too loaded how are my options for consolation prize? are they doable?
