Well so far I was just thinking sauron could be using the ring to subtle mess with him. The encounter with them is perfect since everyone pretty much came out unscathed, but sauron was a deceiver above all else. He even took other forms according to the wiki in order to get the rings made in the first place.
In layman's terms he's dulling bakon's guard and whispering promises of grandeur due to his innate inferiority complex. Or amon could be doing it, you're the lotr expert and lead guy in this. I'm just pitching an idea.
As for balrogship, it was just a talking point. I didn't really know the history behind balrogs except they are not bad maiar, but twisted ones. Didn't expect my guy to make a good one since he's low ranking, but rather have an internal conflict down the road whether to kill the fellowship or not(or at least make them his enemies).
Considering bakon's low status among his kind, how difficult should it be for him to interact with sauron's power(to shield amras especially).
Dragon's spell,I already used this on the orcs in the previous thread. How far fetched would for him to either supplement his own words of power with what remains in his sword or to use it directly to mettle with sauron's influence. You know if amras feels sauron is his buddy, then the dragon's spell would be used to influence the delirious elves. You knwo, make them doubt sauron's sweet talking
yeah that would be the soft application of it, to inspire and rally, to make brave and the like. Then you've got the "hard" application where Luthien shattered every building on an island...or where Gandalf stripped Saruman of his bodies immortality and then sealed off much of his strength
yes they would..or rather shield them and boost their confidence and the like
yup..oh yeah he's kinda making them relive childhood truama
Two things, one this word of power, is it similar to what saurumon used to rally his urak hai before the battle of helms deep. Or perhaps when gandalf was doing his best to bolster the defense of minas tirith, were those considered words of power?
Secondly this duel of applied pressurem would either bakon or cirdan beable to intercept what sauron is projecting on amras and vanya?
p.s: Is what he's projecting have to do with their hatred of orc?
