When he is intangible?
Does it mean his feet are tangible?
Or does it mean he can fly or that he has some magnetic ability?
Either way, there must be some way!!! :D

Dude. I've always wondered the same thing. I guess there are some questions that can never be answered. :O His whole body must be intangible/tangible at once, since he can only attack while tangible. Or maybe... LAWS OF GRAVITY DON'T AFFECT INTANGIBLE PPLZ. O____O

Show where he has been standing and intangible?
Show where he has been standing and intangible?
Chapter 467 Page 6.
Intangible as seen that Raikage went through him yet stands.

Chapter 395 Page 10.
"He could remove whatever Body Part was about to be hit by an attack"
Basically he can choose which part of his Body is going to be intangible.
As seen with Raikage example.

But then wouldn't the rest of his body fall off..? Well manga logic defies real world logic most of the time anyway.

no one knows. he might be able to make parts of his body intangible

Kishi didn't make the manga for our purposes, so it won't always work logically. That's all.

Intangibility isn't as affected towards gravity.

To my understanding, Madara uses Izanagi to become temporarily intangible.
Izanagi is a genjutsu that is cast on the user instead of others and is the most powerful amongst this type of genjutsu. When activated, the caster removes the boundaries between reality and illusion within their personal space. To a degree this allows the user to control their own state of existence. It is normally only active for the briefest of moments.

So? If they're tangible, it means they won't phase.

Maybe he becomes inangible and places chakra at the feet as a sort of holding place?

I'm confused. you said "intangibility isn't affected towards gravity." Did you mean BY gravity? And IF he can make certain parts of his body tangible, then those parts that he didn't make intangible are affected by gravity. Either way the tangible body parts shouldn't be able to connect to the intangible ones since... they're intangible and you can't touch them.

1. Izanagi is a Genjutsu.
2. The Genjutsu is only active for brief moments.

Is this even on the right section? o-o''

IF it is then how come Madara still has his Eyes?
Madara went Intangible 2 times against Fuu and Tourune.
And we know Izanagi requires an Eye sacrifice as shown against Konan.
So by going intangible per Izanagi he shouldn't have Eyes anymore unless he is so efficient with it which is pure speculation.

To make full use of Izanagi, users must also have the genetic traits of the Senju, who are also descended from the Sage. For this reason Danzō had some of Hashirama Senju's DNA transplanted into his arm, which had the added benefit of increasing his physical energy and vitality. Madara Uchiha also makes use of Hashirama's DNA, though he claims to have gained control of it, unlike Danzō. Perhaps because of this reason, Madara is able to sustain Izanagi for five to ten minutes while losing only one Sharingan.
Considering what we do know.

Still requires an eye sacrifice. It's not izangi for fairly obvious reasons.
I believe its more of a controlled form of kamui.

Exactly, hence why they don't phase. Meanwhile, the intangible body parts just stay in place, because they don't move by themselves..
Considering what we do know.
Madara is able to sustain Izanagi for five to ten minutes while losing only one Sharingan.
And this is stated where in the Manga?

Of all the times he's gone intangible, he'd of had to lose a sharingan.
It hasn't been shown to be izanagi, nor him losing an eye. Thus, you can't infer that at all.

I do not think it was verbally stated in the manga, but logically assumed due to Madara still possessing one Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and one Rinnegan, unless Madara purposely removed one Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan just to implant the Rinnegan. Remember, to obtain the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, the eyes must be taken from a sibling and the user will never go blind again. Therefore, the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan we witnessed would have been his original.

How? Because The Series of Naruto is a little thing called fiction, where our rules don't apply. I might as well ask why there are giant frogs who can talk, but the answer is the same, because Kishi made it that way.
