I just can't imagine what they could do... I won't buy a new system unless a major title comes out that intrests me like Mario Galaxy 3 or a new Super Smash Brothers installment.

They had the first motion-sensor system and the first 3-D handheld. I'm sure they can come up with something...hopefully. If this Wii 2 rumor is true, I will be extremely dissappointed...

I really hope it turns out greater than the Xbox or PS3, because I'm tired of people bragging and complaining how Nintendo 'is for kids', 'their games are lame' and how 'Only Xbox/PS3 games are for real gamers and Nintendo should just move aside because they suck.'

You could just keep your old system. That's what I did with my PS2. I was expecting my PS3 to have backwards compatibility, but my parents bought it right when they changed over to non-compatibility, so instead of being unable to play all my old 50-plus PS2 games if I sold it, I just held onto it and play it when feel the need to play some retro.

Honestly, Wii came out with their moving controller things before PS3 or X-box 360 and that was their first step in moving forward. The fact that they're going to pull out a Wii HD is something new and will again give them a huge step forward. I read about their controller idea in one of the OP links and that could definitely be something to push them forward. Especially if people are able to take the controller wherever they want and play games on their Wii HD at home. It'd be an extra umph.

I'm not a fan of the way the Wii works or their games, but if they can do something like what I've read, I might need to get one of the new systems they plan on having.

The irony is that Nintendo had a much wider audience back in the days of the Super nes. They had Castlevania, Final Fantasy, and Ninja Gaiden along with Mario and luigi. Now, their systems are geared toward younger audiences because kids can usually play their games without a soccer mom saying waht teh fawk. That said, I think that games that are geared towards kids are the best, seldom do you see a game that is more "adult" and is remembered past its console generation. yet I can easily recall half the mario titles released in the past decade. :lol:
