Mukuro from KHR, Pain from Naruto.
Cool match-up since Mukuro has his own version of the 6 paths :p
Scenario 1: Mukuro cannot use his illusions, Pain cannot use Chibaku tensei or the city level Shinra Tensei. Full Prep if needed for anything
Scenario 2: Mukuro CAN use illusions, and Pain can use chibaku tensei.
Location:Konoha Crater
Distance: 40 meters
Mood: IC but to kill
Time of Day: Noon
Mukuro can use all of the paths.

Scenario 1: Pain wins, absolutely. Without illusions, I can't really see Mukuro being able to take on six people at once, even with the Sixth Path and his trident (and the Possession Bullet) taken into effect. Unless his possession abilities allow him to control bodies that are, to my understanding, dead... nope. Sorry, Pain wins.
Scenario 2: In my mind, this fight really depends on what part of KHR Mukuro is from.
If we're talking anything from Kokuyo up to the Future Final Battle, I'm going to have to say Pain wins hands down.
My reasoning is as follows:
During Kokuyo Arc, Mukuro just seemed too inexperienced and, as much as my inner Mukuro fangirl hates to admit it, weak to really even injure Pain. He was defeated by Tsuna, even after possessing Tsuna's friends and using them to wear Tsuna down.
After Kokuyo Arc, Mukuro is limited to using Chrome's body. As we can see during his fight with Viper/Mammon during the Varia Arc, he can push that body pretty far, but there are still obviously limits to how much he can do with it.
During the Future Arc, and all the way until the final battle with Byakuran, Mukuro is still stuck in his fishtank at the Vendice Prison, meaning that #2 still applies: he has to work through Chrome (or, up until the fight with Byakuran, Leonardo Lippi/Guido Greco), which is apparently more draining on both of them than working seperately (she doesn't collapse when she uses real illusions, but collapses or nearly collapses after he has what seems to be a regular illusion battle-- see the Mist fight during Varia Arc, the end of the fight against Daemon Spade during the anime's Inheritance Succession Arc). The events of Future Arc taken into account, Chrome is her adorable present-day self rather than her (hopefully stronger) TYL self, and thus prone to collapsing after a certain amount of fighting on Mukuro's part.
However... (rest in spoiler tags due to references to the final fight of the anime and references to the latest released chapter)
After Mukuro's release from his Vendice-sponsored fishbowl, I'm 60/40 as to who would win, still leaning towards Pain. Once again, my reasoning...
On Pain's side:
This man can level a city. Do I really need to say more?
On Mukuro's side:
He's out of the fishbowl, meaning he doesn't have to work through Chrome and thus can fight a little harder.
D. Spade's Devil Lens. My understanding is that, in Chrome's hands, it lets her see through illusions; in Mukuro's hands, it lets him see information on who/whatever he looks at, including its weaknesses-- I'm not sure how far this goes, but this could really be what turns the tide here.
Illusions. Illusions in KHR seem to go deeper than Narutoverse illusions, from what I've seen - if you believe that they're real, for even an instant, they can harm you. This isn't even bringing in "real illusions", which the Future Mukuro seems to be quite adept with if his performance with Chrome against Glo Xinia (being able to help someone who's never used real illusions before, use them well enough to win a fight against a stronger enemy) or his appearance in the Choice Arc (being able to even distract Byakuran after his earlier beatdown) are anything to go by.
Moving on to the most recent arc, the manga-only Inheritance Ceremony Arc, and Mukuro's latest appearance...
This fight would almost have to go to Mukuro, if we're using 333/334 Mukuro. Chapter 334 shows us a little deeper into what kind of character Mukuro is, as well as showing us more of what he's capable of, even through Chrome's body.
Admittedly, Spade's host body (Katou Julie) was weakened by the earlier encounter with Yamamoto - but on the other hand, Spade doesn't have to deal with the distance that Mukuro does regarding host bodies, and Chrome was also probably weakened by her performance in chapter 325. I'm going to say that their base strength is roughly equal, if not tilted to Spade's benefit, before Mukuro gets his pretty new power-up that lets him (supposedly) defeat fandom's least (or most; some fangirls are kinda crazy) favorite creeper.
At this point, at least in my opinion, all Mukuro has to do is get close enough to Pain to get him in an illusion and Pain is done for - Mukuro's pretty new weapon lets him get multiple targets at once, and if Pain's been hit by an illusion, he might not even know to use Shinra Tensei until it's too late. Pain could still use Banshō Ten'in, of course, but that just plays into what Mukuro would probably want-- his weapon's pretty close-range, so he's going to want to be close to you so he can get with the stabbing, right?
What prevents me from giving it 100% to Mukuro at this point is Chibaku Tensei - I actually stopped following Naruto before this jutsu was revealed, so I don't know much about it - how much time does it take to prepare? Can Pain do it near-instantly, or does it take a lot of time to gather chakra for it? From what I'm reading on the Naruto Wikia, it seems like a pretty chakra-intensive technique, but with no handseals I doubt it takes long to do.

Scenario 1: Human Path blitzes him and uses sucks out his soul or uses Laser Explosion from Asura Path.
Scenario 2: Deva Path uses Chou Shinra Tensei.

It does require a 5 seconds interval in order for him to use it again, but the more force and chakra he put in, the longer the interval would be. After he lever konoha, he have to wait many minutes in order for him to use it again.
