As Fidel Castro steps off his final place in the Cuban government (Apr. 19), giving his secretarial duties to Raul, you can't help but think "was he good or not"
I personally don't blatantly hate him like many others, since I see it in a third person. Actually, I think if the US wouldn't have put the trade embargoes on Cuba he wouldn't have unleashed the monster within himself, but just had been "another dictator" causing problems in the world, kind of like how Qaddafi was able to go for so long, but Qaddafi was a US pawn for oil, they wouldn't want to do what they did to Cuba to Libya, yet since Cuba really didn't have any significance, as the documentary below says, they COULD do it. As for economy, even without it, it would probably end up like any other communists countries of the past, or China, put down wages. Really the only reason China succeeds with its policies is that immense population
I actually found a very good documentary that seems to be leaned more on HIS side, obviously not stating his mistakes at all
