Pokemon:The Masuda Method

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried this method to get shiny pokemon does it work? i never tried it in Diamond/Pearl, i was going to give it a shot in Black/White though

Roggenrola hatched so far: 14 boxes

Its method where you breed a pokemon from another region: Japan, Germany, etc. It suppose to slim your chances from 1 in 8,192 to 1 in 1,365 still big odds just wondering if anyone was successful with this

Well getting the other region pokemon would be pretty hard, I mean with the GTS having ridiculous trades...

yeah i know in my pearl game i had a an aipom and sychter from japan and couple others from Germany and India just never tried i guess it will attempt to give it a shot

I tried it with a Japanese Ditto and an American Beldum. I bred over thirty Beldums and didn't get any shiny results... Maybe I'm just too impatient or maybe I did something unexpectedly wrong...

i got a shiny tepig from it , its works it .
and kakuzu, it took me 10 boxes and thats good. if u go on youtube u can see. its not easy. just the ratio of getting a shiny a better chance

I haven't tried the Masuda method, but I have been wanting to try it.

For my litwick it took me about like 30 boxes i had to start realsing some for more space

Wow thats alot i know some ppl got lucky after 81 eggs while some took 300 and more. I guess i will keep on trying how long did oshawott take?
