I'm pretty sure that it is a joke. I read the article and it seems waaaayyy too dark and depressing to be a Sonic game. Game Informer is just yanking our chains.

I also took a look at it. It seems fake. Especially with the part "1 player - We've always had it 1 player". Such sentences aren't usually added when you present a game.:lol:
