Madara's likely rival in the war

We should know Madara is the Akatsuki leader with some evil plans to change the ninja world as he pleases. He fought Hashirama and Minato in his two attempts to get even at the Leaf Village. He failed. People thought Madara died a long time ago. They were wrong. Madara managed to capture the Tailed Beasts with the Akatsuki. His Sharingan and Rinnegan are nothing to laugh at. We love to know who'll be his likely rival in the war if he has full powers

Madara actually succeeded in his fight against Hashirama by obtaining his DNA, which Madara claims was his purpose all along. Madara also successfully set the trigger for the Uchiha Massacre when he attacked the village, ensuring that the Uchiha would be blamed and put under scrutiny, and that they would be descriminated against, leading to conflict. His attack also caused the death of the Yellow Flash and the former Nine-Tails Jinchuriki.

However, his rival in this war? Hard to say. Perhaps A, seeing as they would both be the leaders of their armed forces.

It'll be Itachi! Itachi knew Madara was pulling the strings for Akatsuki i believe, and he was one of the few that did, and seemed to plan for the future before he died. Whatever Itachi did to Naruto is still a Ace card that hasn't been played yet, and Itachi is one of those guys who seems to plan way ahead for everything and be thorough about it. I mean it'll probably be Naruto that defeats him but with Itachi's foresight help i bet.

Madara's likely rival in the war could be Sasuke and/or Naruto. If we remember, Madara told Sasuke the real truth behind Itachi's slaughter on his clan and his marytrdom. Also, he manipulates the troubled Uchiha a lot into destroying the Leaf Village despite Naruto's pleas not to do it. Naruto could give Madara a hard time if the hero can control the Nine Tails completely. Naruto is a target because he's a Jinchuriki along with Killer Bee. In fact, Madara targets them for their respective Jinchuriki of them to make Ten Tail whole again. Could be if that happens.

I was thinking it was gonna come down to Kakashi vs. Madara since they've met like 1000 times. Madara killed his sensei, turned one of his students evil, is trying to kill another one of his students, and is threatining his village. As well as them also having the same ability almost.

It could be. Despite Madara having his Sharingan and Rinnegan in both eyes, Naruto and Sasuke have experience with the respective ocular jutsu. Sasuke has the Sharingan because he's an Uchiha and some killer jutsu with the jutsu. Naruto dealt with the Rinnegan when he fought Pain in an epic battle. The hero managed to find a weakness that was the Rinnegan had to wait five seconds after using it and clobbered Pain. You made a valid point Madara's likely rivals in the war.

Madara isn't going to have any problems with many people in the war. As of now, the Villages should've all been crushed. My guess is that it's going to be Kabuto Vs Madara because none of the villages have the best of the best out at the time. None of the Kages have fought. Kakashi is the only worthy adversary and I doubt that he'd stand a chance against Madara, Kabuto and his army alone. I doubt that anything's going to happen that's super big until Naruto comes back.

I doubt we will even see madara fight other than maybe 1 of these 3: kabuto, naruto or sasuke.

The entire shinobi alliance itself is his rival. As far as the final battle goes, I say it's Naruto and Sasuke vs. Madara.

Sauke is as well because of his ocular powers
Kabuto too because he can turn the whole undead army against him
