I own both actually. I don't really play the Xbox 360 anymore. But I prefer the PS3 because you don't have to pay for online and the ps3 has awesome gameplay.

I would rather have a PS3 but meh.

(I'm a Playstation fan, I've had the first and second ones in the past, yet the Xbox360 is the first Xbox I've ever gotten.)

Anyway, next to respect to Nintendo for my Childhood, I've been with Playstation since the 1st, but the PS3......it ruined it. PS2 WAS THE BEST. If you had said PS2 vs XBox 360 I'd say PS2, no hesitation. But, here, unfortunately, I must give it up to Microsoft

I don't really consider "RANDOM PLAYERS BEING ADDED TO SERVERS" a community, whether you make them your 'friends' or not. That's very debatable to even be considered a group, though by far nothing close to a community. Friends in real life are just the same. (Though in my experience with RL XBOX-Goers, all I've found was cocky douchebag's saying that the graphics are better on it and won't accept any answer but their own. - So I'm not buying that.)

PS3. - The controllers are better, like some people think. Though my roommate disagreed claiming the 360 controller was more realistic, whatever that means. - Its a controller, not a gun. Triggers only go so far.

Frankly its all about preference as far as 99% resembling games go. - Its like if you're a Mac user and suddenly a new Windows and Mac OS come out. - Its obvious what you'll choose, though your choice of preferance could change if you tried both out. (To say the least not a lot of people do that.)

The PS3's operating system I was hoping would be something more original and fresh, though they just took the PSP one and what not. - Its not bad, its actually pretty good. Just not what I expected. I like the XBOX360 operating system actually, just not as much as the PS3's even at that.

I prefer Sony products over Microsoft products, so PS3. PS2 is > PS3 though.

lol when I had an XBox 360 (as in before it broke down) all I heard were a bunch of whiny little kids and even teens/adults. Everyone always has to be so butthurt over there. People on PS3 do too but not as often. Besides that, I prefer PS3.

I personally like the Xbox better, and it has a better controller IMO. The only bad part about the Xbox is that you have to pay for live.
