There is sooooooo Many things wrong with this game.
I go up to the counter to see that golden piece of plastic hanging on the gamestop shelf, and I was filled with joy, Soon I would play as Megaman, Tron Bonne, and all sorts of other Characters to boot. I bought the game, not wasting anytime, and drove back to my house, popped that awesome disc in, and soon, I was only stabbed in the head with a daggar of anger and disappointment at it's failure.
HOW DOES CAPCOM SCREW UP MVC????
Lemme tell you, new gamers and even veterans of the first 2, the only thing going for it is the control, but even THAT cant go with a little "Change". Tatsunoko versus Capcom was a well put game, and lemme tell you, as a MVC player, I was a little shocked at its new controlers, I would be trying to pull off any moves I knew with any character, and still didnt work. I eventually had to go to training to look at them, and not get killed at a normal match. and they changed most of the attacks! I had to RELEARN the moves I knew. That's a bit tedious, but in a way, the fluency of the controls once I knew how, was very slick, not a flaw to be seen, I only hated to relearn what I was supposed to already know from the arcade.
Another thing, and I'll say this, I could go on about the red in the face, but there's only three Characters I'm missing....MEGAMAN, VENOM, AND ZANGIEF. What happened? Did the Designer just up and leave megaman's programming in the desk? Where is he???? Guess what? Capcom decided to LEAVE HIM OUT ON PURPOSE. Not because he's cheap, not because he wasnt loved by millions of people, but they wanted to have ZERO hold the flag. I'm sorry, but since when did Zero become better? Last time I checked, BOTH of them carried the stable in the Rockman universe. BOTH of them were so cool together! Hell, I wanna see the ultimate battle between them in MVC, but not here. Nope, I guess Zero had to push him out of the spotlight at the last possible minute. And zangief was part of the MVC series long before Haggar. I know Haggar is from Final fight, and both games were supposed to run off on eachother, but we havent seen FInal fight in years, and they could'nt keep Zangief in there? Why Haggar? He's just a CLONE! AND VENOM??? HE WAS FREAKING AMAZING AS A CHARACTER! That's Like taking Out Sasuke in Naruto Ninja Storm! It's RETARDED! Could any of you really sit there and smile if Sasuke wasnt In a Naruto Game, or in the story at all? No? Well, That's how I feel with Venom. And Another thing: Why is it that I have to PAY for the DLC's? Really? After FORGETTING THEM, YOU MAKE ME PAY???? THEY'RE NOT WORTH THE $10 I HAD TO PAY FOR THEM! *Sighs* Oh well, At least I can Play as Tron Bonne. She was Awesome. I miss Roll too.
Playing Online is a drag too! What, Dont believe me? GO ahead, try to have a spectating match, and all you'll see is two Cards Humping eachother. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS CRAP!?! When I saw this, I was red in the face and bored to my mind, and fell aslepp until my friends woke me up through my headset telling me it was my turn because they could hear my snores. I'm not kidding. I LITERALLY FELL ASLEEP TO WAITING. And that's not the worst part, it's when I was trying to FIND a game too! 90% of the time, the game would either CRASH, or Boot me out of the game EARLY! or not even show up at all! WHY? WHAT!? WHY?!?!?!
Another thing is the story, or actually the ENDING of the Story. Ok, I've been spoiled by great looks on 3d gaming, so Why cant I se an amazing ending to a storyline from the characters? Instead I get this Lazy panel, that only says like 3 things, and then the credits roll out. I could'nt see an epic animation or something? Hell TEXT ITSELF WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER!
This Game is a terrible MESS. It's COMPLETE BULL CRAP. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN WITHDRAWN FROM STORES, AND RE-RELEASED TO BE "NEW MARVEL VERSUS CAPCOME 3" It NEEDS to be! There is NO excuse for this LAZY, HALF-WIT, INCONSIDERATE WORK THEY CALL A GAME!!!!
I feel BETRAYED as a Fan to the series, and struck with awe at how Dastardly the critics have been dealing this as "A wonderful successor to MVC2" or "The Best Fighting Game in History". IT DESERVES NOTHING UNTIL EVERYTHING IS F***ING FIXED!!!!!
