Kushina And Itachi

I've been thinking of this, and by far I guess others were too if they were on the subject, but Itachi was, I believe 4 or 5 years old of age when Naruto was born and when Sasuke was barely born 3 months before... umm I was thinking this, since Itachi is a smart guy, wouldn't he have known Kushina? I mean Mikoto and Kushina were good friends during their time in the Konoha school and not only that but comrades while they were growing up, so I believe that Itachi knew of Kushina and Minato of course.... But I wonder this, why hasn't Kishimoto pointed this out earlier in the manga.... Yeah may have pulled some hints but whatever... But um discuss what you think may have possibly worked when it comes to Kushina and Itachi.... Itachi knows alot more than every people thinks...:cool:

I'm sure that everyone knew who Kushina was besides Naruto.

The creed was that nobody was to speak of the Kyuubi around or to Naruto, or not at all, really, but everybody knew it.

It would have been the same thing with Itachi. Even if he never met her personally, he most likely heard stories about Kushina because she was the Kyuubi's Jinchuuriki.

That's why Naruto was never told of his heritage and who his mother was. Because it would have brought up questions like "Who has it now?" They didn't want him to know. But when he figured it out and started honing the Kyuubi's power they didn't have to bother hiding it anymore, so Kishi revealed it.

I don't see any real connection between Kushina and Itachi other than being part of the same Generation

I have to say even if I do think Itachi could plan well ahead of time and that he was extremely intelligent (yeah that's the fan speaking lol ;))...it would be way too farfetched to think there's a connection between the two. Like Shikamaru Nara said he probably was aware of who she was and remembered her from his childhood but it's not like he was friends with her and at the time he was just a kid.....

not sure of the meaning of this thread but of course he would have known her she was the hokages wife but he would have been very young

not everyone or anyone for the most part knew whom Naruto's father was and the connection between he and Kushina.
