When has poisoned smoke ever worked? leaf village kunoichi's kind of suck. The good one's come from villages that only have like 3 good people in it including themselves.

That does not by any means make either of them Shino useless. It means they're not popular. I know lots of unpopular things that are extremely useful and visa versa i can think of hundreds of popular things that are pointless.

Naruto's the main, lol. Can't happen. Kishi, from what I hear, hates female characters. :\ That's why I think they're so weak and useless -in some situations- in the series.

The most useless character to the plotline:
Orchimaru, honestly if Sasuke wasn't the second most relevant character in the series and didn't need a place to stay than we wouldn't have needed his butthead. I mean that whole tongue thing, just screams "I'm a bad person!"

iruka was the first friend that naruto ever talked to, he was naruto's inspiration. iruka is also a great, and funny teacher who cares for his students dearly. and he believes that the younger generation all carry the Will of Fire in them, he has trust in them
