When Iruka announced the squads, Squad 7 had Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto. We all know that moment when Sasuke was happy and Naruto not being happy with the last-named shinobi. Kakashi was the sensei of Squad 7 and had a reputation of failing his students. The rest is history, yet Sai joined the team after Sasuke left the Leaf Village for power. The squad has been in numerous missions. If Naruto hadn't been in Squad 7, would it been effective without him?

dont know this is tuff.. well squad 7 wouldn't be squad 7 without the original bunch. Now as far as squad 7 being better with out naruto or more effective i would say no it would be just as effective but if he wasn't there it would be much more boring ... or depending on the person you are it can also be less annoying

Team 7 wouldn't have been the same without any of the three people. However, Naruto is the one who would have the biggest effect if he were removed because he is the person who is the glue that holds the team together more often than either of the other two. Sakura was too busy fangirling over Sasuke and Sasuke was too consumed by his revenge.
Orochimaru said that it was Naruto - not Sakura who was changing Sasuke's heart.

Naruto would most definitly have had the biggest impact if he weren't in the team. Sakura never would've realised she needed to grow up and stop crying. Sasuke wouldn't have became rogue so quickly. His progress would've been a lot slower without Naruto pushing him to get stronger. Kakashi wouldn't have had a student whom he could bond with so easily.
Honestly though. Sakuras impact on Team 7 in particular would be small. Why she was ever placed under Kakashis guidance I'll never know. We know he's not that skilled at Genjutsu. Her initial main strength. His chakra control isn't anything special, considering he has to use mounds of chakra for the majority of his techniques. As well as that she couldn't relate to him in any way. She was aggressive and easily angered, she also was very concerned about her looks and hair, usual girly stuff. Which obviously a grown man has no interest in.
Sakura should've been placed under Kurenai. Sakuras main talent was Genjutsu, which Kakashi noted her to be incredibly talented at. Sakuras intelligence and analytical skills would've greatly aided her in that. Kurenai was perhaps Konohas best Genjutsu user. Furthermore she was very patient and quite soft. Just the teacher Sakura needed. Sakuras taijutsu was never noted to be that great in the beginning of part 1. So being placed under Gai would've been stupid. As well as that she lacked the energy to carry through with his rigorous training exercises. Tsunade had to beat it into her. Asumas large range of ninjutsu would've also been useful to Sakura, whose chakra control would've made been able to use the jutsu to greater extents and with less chakra. And with her high intelligence learning the handseals wouldn't have tooken long at all.
However, Naruto and Sasuke were perfect students to Kakashi.

Squad 7 wouldn't be itself if Naruto wasn't in there. Since his early days, he has done a lot of good stuff for his comrades whenever there's a mission to be done. Sakura and Sasuke would bug Naruto if the hero spoke something dumb, but that's what they were. Don't forget Kakashi when he had to find a problem, but cared for them. I believe Naruto wouldn't be the hero that he is if he didn't made into Squad 7.

squad 7 without naruto that would be like oh my god sauce. nuff said.
Naruto is a vital part of squad seven. It wouldn't be the same without him. He gives Sakura, Sai, Kakashi, and even Yamato the courage to pull through all the obstacles. The reason Sakura got stronger - she didn't want to be a burden to Naruto.

No, it wouldn't because the original Squad 7 consists of the team members Kakashi, Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto. So in theory the current Squadron 7 is not the same as the original due to the fact that Sasuke has been replaced, evidently, by the emo kid that never talks, with extremely pale skin, Sai.
