Not really, no. He's much like Naruto was pre-shippuden; rather strong, and a great sense of morals, but reckless and not too knowledgeable.

we didint see much of anything from him except when he awakened his sharingan and even then he only shown taijutsu, but from what we seen he looked good

As an Uchiha, he was probably quite powerful once his Sharingan awakened. Too bad he... died.

I think Obito's not bad: he fights with the heart and tries to help his friends. The only thing, that I critize him, is the impulsive behaviour which I can see when his friends are in difficulty.

Please, give me a good comment for eliminating my bad reputation.

obito is'nt that smart or intelligent, like an earlier naruto. reckless and always worries about everyone. but he has a very good heart and probably is naive

Look at Team 7 compared to Team Minato.

Obito = Naruto
Kakashi = Sasuke
Rin = Sakura

Obito was an early version of Naruto except in Uchiha.

Obito wasn't the brightest of people, but he had a strong heart and wanted the best for his team mates even though it took awhile for Kakashi and Obito to "get along."
Kakashi had to wait until the LAST minute when Obito was dying to decide that they could've been friends. -^-Why?!

Thank you for saying it, Vivi. Wasn't sure if anyone was going to say that. Kishimoto likes making older teams parralel versions to Team 7. Team Hiruzen was Jiraya (Naruto), Orochimaru (Sasuke), and Tsunade (Sakura).
