Kyuubi and The Reaper Seal

I know this is an odd thought, but the more I've looked at the story of Naruto and the purpose of Tobi to get Naruto because he has the Kyuubi, you start to realize that Naruto only has HALF the Kyuubi's chakra (the Yang half) while sealing the Yin and himself with the reaper seal.

This would bring up a few questions, as to whether not having that balanced chakra is what is creating so many issues for Naruto to tame the beast (so to speak) and then down the line, if Naruto actually accesses the reaper seal to unlock the other half, so there is a completed tailed beast worth of chakra.

Also, it seams that even if Tobi were to get the Kyuubi, it would be incomplete, making it impossible to create the Juubi, because the Kyuubi's chakra would be incomplete. I suppose this brings us all the way back around to the significants of the reaper seal, and the hope that we will see it unlocked later.

its a good point and i have thought about it as well, why dosent it regenerate like when a character uses chakra then when they rest their chakra regenerates why does the other half of the kyuubis chakra not

Mhm. Though if Madara did somehow get access to the Reaper Seal, that would also mean Kabuto has a potential way of bringing back Kushina and the past Hokage.

Would be the perfect symbolization of doing so.

Yeh it would, and Narutos bound to make a surprise appearance during the War. As he always does. His dramatic confrontation with Pein, his appearance when Sakura goes to kill Sasuke, his appearance in front of Team 10 to fight off Kakuzu etc.

I dunno. We know he doesn't need all of the power from the bijuus to revive the Juubi. He said himself that he already used some to create the Zetsu army. None the less, he may still lack having the amount he needs if he isn't considering half the Fox being locked away.

When you think about it, maybe Minato did more than just simply take half of the Kyuubi's chakra. I mean it's not the same as expending half your chakra supply in battle. I take it to mean that he sealed a portion of the fox's being inside himself. That part of the fox's being contains it's Yin chakra. And without that peice of his being/soul (however you want to refer to it) the fox can't reginerate the yin chakra.

Or it could be that it did replenish but just took a long time. Minato took half the Kyuubi's chakra bc Naruto was to small a vessel. So if it took say 10 years to replenish all of that chakra (It's alot of chakra) then Naruto would be a bigger vessel by that time. I don't really buy this one myself but who knows.

I actually made a thread about this XD But yea, lets say Madara CAN get the Kyuubi no issue, he has Naruto and so forth. But then he realizes (he probably knows tho...), 'naruto only has half :\'. But though then again, It's Madara. He can probably do with half :|

I would be disappointed if Madara didn't realize that Naruto only had half the fox. His 2 defining personal characteristics have been that he is well informed knowing nearly everything about everything and of course his crazy ability to plan ahead so super genius methodically. If he's like "Where's the rest of the Kyuubi!!?!?!?!?" That would be like the worst PNJ moment ever in my opinion.

its not just the fact that it's only half, it's the fact that it defies the balance that would probably be necessary. We consider that the 10 different tailed beasts each have yin and yang chakra that make up the total yin and yang chakra of the Juubi, which would mean that only having part of the Kyuubi chakra would make it unstable.

I'd like to think that the chakra from the reaper would be released eventually as would those trapped within it. It would probably not be so far fetched considering Naruto knows his dad is trapped in the seal. In all honesty it wouldn't shock me to find Naruto possesing the Juubi (before it's over).

^ Yea, I know it's more complicated than just "half the kyuubi". I was speaking in simple terms. I can see all those things You said happening. The Juubi will definitely be revived. Naruto may seal it in himself tho i'm not sure it would work out that way. I find it more likely that Madara harbors the juubi first. You know the bad guy always has to reach maximum power before being defeated. And unlocking the reaper is kind of what I'm betting on as well. I have no clue how it would be possible but if it were to happen it would fill a big plot hole that really needs to be filled (Yin half of Kyuubi).
