I appreciate metal but only certain types. I personally can't stand these types of metal because it focuses on the guitar/yelling more than any other instrument which makes the drums and anything else sound like background noise. I'd stick with melodic/death metal personally.

actually, in Blind Guardian and Dragonforce, you can hear the drums pretty well, and the drummers are amazing

Well, typically it does. I suppose there are bands such as those you pointed out, though I don't listen to them. Only played a Dragonforce song in Guitar Hero and that was it.

Also, not a lot of forum members listen to metal, which is a shame. :( They prefer that Justin Beiber, Lady Gaga stuff.

you should at least check out one or two of their songs, they're pretty awesome

yeah, I know, it sucks, but the reason why people like that kind of music now and days, is because for some reason, a lot of teenagers are just too hyper like they have ADHD, so they need something fast to keep them going, despite the lyrics being horrendous

Love a lot of metal, but it isn't my favorite genre. I despise and detest most of the world's pop offerings, especially the more modern ones.

Beiber is enough to get me smashing my own radio. Gaga freaks me right the $%#@!$ out.

Dragonforce ain't that bad, but they are mainstream power metal...kinda like Cradle of Filth is mainstream black metal....most will use them to start listening to the genre, then they listen to other bands

ah...Slipknot and Otep are modern metal, Exodus is trash metal....not power

Apart from that:
Anyone taking a really good look at the Through the Fire and Flame as well as Heroes of our Time Video's can see they can't make a decent Video without repeating ALOT of scenes or using the rewind and forward buttons.

Doesn't matter. They're just way too repetitive in their songs and lyrically, they suck. Vocals suck, drumming is repulsive, and the guitar is really annoying.

Anthrax is awesome, I getta see them April 23rd along with Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth

The drumming is amazing too, don't care much for the keyboardist or the singer, but it also wouldn't be the same without them

Murderdolls was actually formed partly from Slipknot, in face Joey Jordison is their guitarist
of course I know Slipknot, I prefer their old stuff though
