Why isn't there a "Neither" option?

The manga itself isn't meant for romance. There's no room. It's a story about Fox Spirits and Ninja and the Great Ninja War. How on earth can you fit in romance when it's not even fitting into the plot? There needs to be more time for it, which there's not between everyone's training and the fighting that happens in the story constantly. There just is no room.
