In the Dragon Ball Saga, there have been many Androids created by the Red Ribbon Army's top scientist, Dr. Gero. There was #8, who looked like Frankenstein and helped Goku overthrow and topple the Muscle Tower.
#16 was a quiet Android who was very nice and kind. He loved to observe the animals as they walked on him, and he almost defeated base Cell. His signature move was Rocket Punch, a move where he aimed his lower left hand at his opponent and shot it at his opponent to punch them, and then made it come back to him, to when he would reattach it. He beared a slight resemblance to the Ginyu Force member Recoome.
He was said to need some improvements by Dr. Gero. Numbers 17 and 18 were Androids who never ran out of energy and they fought to destroy most of the world. Number 17 was a black-haired guy who was proud of who he was. Number 18 was a blond-haired girl who always hung around #17. Krillin really liked her. Number 19 was the first Android introduced in DBZ along with Android #20, who was actually Dr. Gero. He was white, chubby, and talked in a very falsetto or high-pitched voice. He, along with Dr. Gero, could steal their opponents'/preys' energy to gain infinite energy. His signature move was Photon Beam. Android #21 is also known as Cell. He was born in the future timeline in Dr. Gero's lab's basement, in a huge tube. Dr. Gero forgot to turn the machine off when he decided to stop growing Cell, and Cell grew and escaped after #s 17 and 18 destroyed Dr. Gero. He took an alternate version of Trunks' time machine (because Trunks had already defeated #s 17 and 18 which he needed to become his Perfect Form in his timeline) and took it back to DBZ Earth one year before Trunks defeated Freiza. He then hid and grew, molting to a much more powerful size. Later, he used his stinger tail to absorb Android #17 and transformed to his Semi-Perfect Form. Then, he absorbed Android #18 and transformed into his Perfect Form.
