If you had started reading Naruto vol. 40, you began to see Konan. On the next volume, she, Yakato (Pain), and Nagato tried to get themselves clemency from Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru. Those kids stayed with Jiraiya for a few years, training themselves. Moreover, Konan has her paper flower on her head, which she made when she was a girl. Seriously, I don't see her headband, which makes me wonder where she is from.
