Gaara Vs. Kakuzu

While Kakuzu is Transonic, seeing as how he was able to keep up with Kakashi, as well as grab him by the legs and slam him down, Gaara has also shown amazing speed with his sand. Gaara's Sand has not only kept up with Deidara, whom was on a large bird capable of flight during the time, Gaara's Sand also crossed the Suna village in a matter of seconds. Overall, I believe Gaara's Sand should match, and/or even outmatch Kakuzu's speed.

Moreso, Kakuzu's Hearts also managed to temporarily keep up with Kakashi. However, Kakashi was injured at the time, so Kakuzu's hearts should be around Sonic-Sonic+ speeds. More so, since Gaara's Sand has shown better speed feats (able to keep up with Deidara, as well as crossing the Suna village in a matter of seconds), I believe Gaara's Sand should be able to catch up to Kakuzu's Five Hearts. Gaara should be able to finish them off with Sand Coffin.

If any of Kakuzu's Five Hearts managed to use any of their Jutsus (Kakuzu will most likely use a Fire Technique, seeing as how it's the most devestating of his Five Hearts Technique) Gaara's Sand will be able to defend against their Techniques.
Examples:
1. Gaara's Sand wasn't even singed by Sasuke's Amaterasu.
2. Gaara's Sand was able to tank a multitude of Deidara's explosives (C3 explosive, and multiple C1 explosives)
In other words, none of Kakuzu's Techniques will work on Gaara.

Overall, I'd say Gaara wins this.

sort-of-gravedig, but Kakuzu is far underrated, he stomps this. Everyone watched the anime and considered that Kakuzu's strength, it's completely different stuff from what he did in the manga altogether, no way can Gaara survive any elemental blasts at all especially considering Kakuzu can spam them like no other if he wanted.

Before you start a debate, READ the fight, don't watch it, READ it, and pay attention to each and every elemental blast and the fact that Kakuzu is absolutely top tier and underrated at that because of the anime which is far from true. He can't possibly lose this nor probably bunches of other fights he's been underrated in.

Not once in the BG have I seen Kakuzu get treated the way he deserves to be treated. Not once.

Long distance isn't even a problem if you look at the size of Kakuzu's attacks. The easiest one to dodge is that fire jutsu but it's not the only thing Kakuzu got.

Shukaku doesn't even appear right away, so how does Gaara manage while Kakuzu is blasting him to hell and back.

That couldn't have been his full speed because it differs from his running speed, and Gaara could have been watching the fight the whole time or most of it, how do you know he didn't prepare his sand beforehand to block any finishing blow A does.

Pretty sure Gaara didn't react to Sasuke attacks but was the one attacking. Because Sasuke just got done getting his ass whooped by the Raikage, he wasn't at his top condition and he had to use Ammy to block Gaara's sand.

Kakuzu is top tier too, I don't know if Gaara is even top tier but Kakuzu is.

His sand is pretty fast it protected the Sand Village against Deidara's Ohako.Plus if he's got shukaku he'll win.And Gaara's sand can block any of the jutsu that Kakuzu's hearst pull on im.Kakuzu really doesn't stand a chance

Well the thing is that Shukaku could cause Kakuzu some problems.

And if Bunta had problems with Shukaku then Kakuzu would as well.

Without Shukaku Gaara gets owned but it could cause problems with wind balls, durability and whatnot.

The Shukaku used to make Gaara unstable and that wont help against someone like Kakuzu who has tons of battle experience.

How is Gaara going to kill the "hearts"? I dont think sand will work against fire and water attacks, let alone the combinations of wind and fire or wind and water..
Kakuzu has shown quite good intelligence to say that he will be able figure out Gaara's weakness against water and use it to his advantage.

I think Kakuzu should win this based on feats.

That's when he was in a desert, and after that he was completely out of chakra.

Besides the fact that Gaara would have no knowledge, and being that Kakuzu is in the Akatsuki and all he should have knowledge on a Jinchuuriki and their respective Bijuu, and without knowledge Gaara won't even know what to kill.

The wind balls are strong but Kakuzu can counter with his own wind attack or fire attack or anything else. You saw what his attacks did as single attacks, Shukaku and Gama are strong and all but I don't see them taking too many Fire/Wind combos, and the wind balls take up a lot of chakra for him to be "spamming" too many when Kakuzu actually has the chakra for it.

Remember that he's the weakest bijuu and Deidara easily took out the sanbi, Hidan and Kakuzu took out Yugito, granted she didn't transform, at least I don't think. They captured others though, I don't remember which since most were off panels but Kishi said somewhere in databooks, or somewhere.

I have one question to the people who think that Gaara can beat Kakuzu.
if Kakuzu spammed water element balls , wouldn't that affect Gaaras sands ??
I mean technically ... the sand would grow heavier and workless , if we poured water on it.


but to be Honest .. I dunno what is gonna happen to Kakuzu .. if Gaara in away , managed to control the Shukaku , and used the Menacing Ball .
