View Full Version : My own training (Storm 1)

I'll admit, I suck at Storm 1. Usually I'm just doing some buttonmashing of the O button as well as the L2/R2 buttons. Maybe I could have some advice. I'm gonna try to practice my game in Storm 1 and get better, while cranking the difficulty until I can start getting some wins on Insane.
So what can I do to get better at Storm 1? What characters should I use and all that jazz.

Tenten is boss in Storm 1. Try using Naruto, Sasuke (Black Outfit and Normal), Kakashi, and Neji. They can all knj into Ninjutsu.
Neji is especially good because when he charges his U1 instead of reaching a further distance like Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi, his rotation lasts longer, it can last up to like 10 seconds. Which is good if you want to delay it for a couple seconds. His ninjutsu also triggers a cinematic clip which means once it hits you cant knj the next hits like in UNS2.
Tenten is long range, her U1 tracks and has god range. She also has a projectile combo and a fast grab.
Sakura has fire tags for her chakra kunai and also 3 fire tags for items. So if you're ever down on chakra you can throw a quick fire tag to buy you some recharging time.
Also with her trap jutsu you can set multiple traps, even in the water on training field.
With her traps you can camp in a corner or punish an enemy camping in a corner. You can also set traps to punish chakra dashes. Its slow so you have to set the traps before hand, and you can stay near it to stop enemies from getting close.
Im testing out kankuro, I think I might find something really broken. His Coarse Coffin has god range and I call it his second grab, because its as fast as his normal grab but with more damage.
All I can tell you for now is to knj into ninjutsu and grabs. Punish approaches with them too. also a lot of people have tilts that have more range than their normal combos so use them too and mix it up with supports.
Orochimaru Blade Dance Support UNS1 = Hidan Support UNS2 so use Orochimaru to help you get a free hit with ninjutsu.
Also its good to hear that I'm not the only one who still plays UNS1 now that 2 is out.
And you should google ArashiBoards and join. We're gonna be having strategy discussions for UNS1 soon.

Ino is one of the best characters in nuns1
Itachi is so good in nuns1 he is banned (his exploding clone jutsu and his awakening)
Some jutsus like choji's roll or rocklees jutsu that is not the one where he runs at you and hits you are banned simply through virtue of the fact that they can hit out of block stun.
I used hinata and naruto in that game.

Guy is pretty good in storm 1, especially against sasuke(with fireball jutsu),Kakashi(Fireball jutsu), and Itachi(Fireball jutsu) because his Leaf hurricane jutsu is not only really good at close range after you KNJ an opponent, but also good as a defense, It can even kick back fireball jutsu's at the opponent from any of the 3 characters that have it(Kakashi, sasuke,Itachi)Including the support characters fireball jutsu.

Itachi and Hinata are gods in Storm 1. No more, no less. It is extremely easy to hit your opponent with their U2 attacks, and you can increase the likelyhood of their attacks hitting your opponent by using the right support characters combos, instead of their jutsus.

Thanks for the advice but just so you know I'm a total noob with this so I need to know what do you mean by "U2" or whatever?

U2 is a term for Ultimate Jutsu, while U1 is a term for Ninjutsu. U3 is Team Ultimate Jutsu, although, as you probably know, you can't use that in UNS1.
Oh and i could provide you with alot more strategies than i did here, but i don't feel like giving away my valuable tactics out pupblic, so you''ll have to pm me for that, but you will be fine even without them`:))
