Lightsaber battle only, no use of the force as a weapon except to increase the power of your Lightsaber blows.

Mace kills horribly(probably made this thread to single out the star wars nerds). Luke didn't even show half his skills not even in the comics.

Luke rapes, hes the most powerful Jedi to ever lived.

He has long far surpassed the previous generation of Jedi AKA Mace Windu, Yoda, Obi-wan and Vader.

if EU is included, luke's force powers are beyond anything mace has ever shown. if im not mistaken didnt luke force an entire star fleet into a star? in a sabre battle i'd still say the stronger force wielder would win since they could strengthen blows, react more quickly, block with force etc.

I am not too sure about that Mace skills with the force outstrips Luke in his prime before he became a master. Unless you count the novels. Mace was number 2 in the entire order.

Then why did you comment? You don't know how strong Luke Skywalker becomes.

Again you didn't read the comics so you don't know that Luke becomes more awesome than Mace Windu.

uke controls his lightsaber so well that it's said that it might as well have been ten, or twenty. Quote:

He took the steps at a lightning pace, burning his way through dilating membranes but in complete control of his momentum. Seen through the Force he was a maelstrom of luminous energy, a Force storm against which there was no shelter. And yet all his energy poured from a calm center; an eye.

He made no missteps. None of his actions were interrupted by thought.

In fact, Luke didn't seem to be there at all-physically or as an individual personality. Jacen and Jaina were astounded-but they had little time to reflect. Their lightsabers were busy, as well, turning the blows Luke dodged, or defending assaults launched from below. On the fourteenth level, where the Citadel's exterior wings sprouted from the hull, they reached a fork in the stairway. Luke swung to Jacen.

"Which way?", He wasn't even breathing heavily.

Luke is also stated to be the greatest lightsaber swordsman in the entire New Jedi order. It is also shown that one of the styles he uses is very similar to Mace Windu's Vaapad lightsaber style. Luke takes this with some difficulty.

I'm glad people realize how close this actually is.

Mace Windu was once called the greatest Jedi with a lightsaber. He defeated Jango with ease, would have killed the Sith Lord had it not been for outside interference(Something Yoda and Anakin/Darth couldn't do head-on), and defeated Rhad Tam, who was a badass.

He was originally master of the Jedi Order before giving it to Yoda, feeling Yoda's wisdom far surpassed his own...Still, his biggest feat is turning Force Lightning back with Vaapad.

Still though, I think Luke takes it by a hair, just from all the Post-Return stories.
