No, your not the only one who thinks that.
I can't say I know what goes on in Kabu-sama's head... but that is definitely the air he puts on. He is VERY protective Orochimaru. Thing is, even Kabuto admitted it himself... he was clinging. Orochimaru was the best and most fulfilling thing he's ever had.
I myself don't necessarily like Orochimaru that much, but we seem to have the same tastes, lol. So much so that my mom suggested I cosplay as him. At first I was all "what the heck, why?" then my mind switched gears and I almost blushed...but sadly, I'd never have someone like Kabuto. Errr... anyway.
I think that is generally what happens when you have nothing, and then someone reaches out to you and puts them in a position closest to them. You get attached some way or another. I can definitely see how that may be Kabu-sama's case.

I have to thank you though... whether you meant it that way or not, I think that's the sweetest thing I've heard anyone say about Kabuto (him wanting to be Orochimaru's "son"). ::bows::

I'd just like to point out that may last post actually was on-topic I just forgot to explain myself if anyone didn't pick up on it. See the thing is, what TheBlackChidori said complimented my opinion on the matter of "disgusting". The thing is, as twisted as it may seem Kabuto and Orochimaru just seem like well... almost family. And that sort of thing just doesn't seem strange to me.
I guess it's a cultural thing. Kind of how here in the USA, people would never think of bathing naked together with family let alone complete strangers, whereas this is a common and acceptable practice in Japan. I don't know about anyone else, but the hot springs I went to years ago in Japan, the majority of bathers were completely nude.

Ok TFO, the "peeing" episode was a single filler in the origonal Naruto Series, where Naruto and Ino were on a mission together to help a princess win over her suitor, and the SasuXSai yaoi thing was a small, completely random "comedy" blip in the manga.

For me it was when Shikamaru killed Hidan. Not only was it visually the most violent moment, but I was literally thoroughly disgusted with how Kishimoto ended that arc. Having a 16-year-old protagonist commit such a violent act, over revenge for a death that occured as a result of a battle, and especially after all the "revenge is wrong" talk that is in this manga, that was a disgusting and disturbing way to end the arc.

If it would ever be addressed, maybe he could fix it, but I know that isn't going to happen. That was the beginning of the end of Naruto for me.
