Most likely, yes. Since he was already in that thing where Hashirama's cells were. And the Zetsu's looked more like Yamato, so I think that might have drained a lot of chakra from him.

I wouldn't want him to perish. I mean, it's not like he was one of the first character sensei like Kakashi, Asuma, Guy and Kurenai but, then again this came all too sudden...Yamato's capture. I hope that he manages to escape somehow, or Kabuto lets him off and betrays Madara.
I hope Yamato doesn't die either!! He's needed in the story!! yes...he is not in the best situation now..but hope he escapes somehow!! Naruto!! hurry up and save him!! I'm comn too Yamato!! MATERU!!

Kabuto will betray Madara. He deliberately led the konoha recon team to madara's hideout. Whether or not he will be successful is another story.

I'm sure it's the same hideout. There's no sign that Madara switched hideouts, but of course that's a weak point. Either Anko and the tracking team will rescue him or maybe the Tsuchikage or another Kage goes back to rescue him since they know he got captured.

I think it's safe to assume that the hideout is the same. In chapter 490 in the manga the team learns that kabuto and madara have joined forces. This is before Kabuto is shown Zetsu's clones(ch. 512) and before kabuto returns with a captured Yamato, but it appears to be the same place.

No he's not going to die. Did you all forget that Madara and Kabuto decided to keep him alive so Kabuto could beef up the Zetsus. So until Kabuto does that then Yamato is still alive...he may be turning into Zetmato but alive.

I want to see a Yamato VS. True Zetsu fight, then we can see the true history of Yamato and Zetsu!

And in a final bid, they both die.

He has shown loads of techniques , but a lot of them were used outside battle. Hes never shown any good speed or reaction feats. Even in the anime, and in being captured by Kabuto, we know he isn't good at close range, or particulary fast. But he has loads of feats. Hes far from a fodder.

Anyway, he'll at least be kept alive till the Zetsus are buffed up.

I agree that Yamato is definitely not a fodder. He's awesome. The only guy who has the first Hokage's wood style tecnique

I wonder what'll happen now that he's been caught by that moron Kabuto

i think the allied forces will figure out that they only way to stop the zetsu's(and possibly win the war) would be to save yamato ...so they might send a team to get him back (and naruto might be on it)....which will mean that yamato does in fact play a VERY huge role in the story...

then again i could be totally wrong and like some1 before me said yamato might sacrifice himself to stop the zetsus.

I agree with you on that point, Madara, will keep Yamato alive as long as he's useful to him. Hopefully, He can be rescued before he is no longer considered to be of any use to Madara. Kabuto had said that he wanted to experiment on Yamato. Yamato doesnt deserve to go through what he is going through now and then be experimented on by Kabuto. No one deserves that!

Don't say that! Don't you ever dare say that! Captain Yamato is much more than a casuality, he's a friend and Team Uzumaki is going to rescue him.

No matter what it takes to get to him back, Naruto will rescue him and bring him home, even if he has to fight him first. Naruto will bring Yamato back, safe and sound! Do you hear me!!?

I'm aware of his character's importance, but there will be characters of that class that become casualties of the war. I believe he'll be one of them, along with Gai and maybe even Neji.

Well, I won't say for sure whether he will or not, until I see a corpse or somthing that will lead me to believe there is a corps no one has died. I believe Yamato will END UP a casualty and end up taking down Zetsu in the process, I could be right, or somthing else could happen.

I do agree with Evil Jester that meaningful casualties have to happen if this is suppose to be a war. War isn't supposed to be a walk down the park where only the bad guys die and the good guys are some how super invincible.
