Just to start off my first post, I just want to put some information out that I didn't know if everyone else knew. I don't know if it's true or not but it seems to fit pretty well.
In the second Naruto movie, Legend of the Stone of Gelel, the villians seem to range in shape, size, and abilities. From thundering howl attacks to just using the stone's power directly they are some fearsome foes for Naruto-kun to face. But a closer look at these bad guys reveals something that most might be strangely familiar with.
First is the biggest baddy of the movie, Master-Haido. He is the man with the big hat, the big monacle, and the big fat lie. At first one only sees a terrible man who decived Temugin. But his personality is very much similar to a character in old European folklore. I'm talking about Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hide, of course. Even his name sounds suspicious, and could just be the Japanese pronunciation of "Hide."
Also, his henchmen (the girls) are hauntingly familiar as monsters in old-time stories. Essentially there is a bat, a wolf, and...a gorilla-looking thing. It sounds extremely like de ja vu, because they might just really be a vampire, a werewolf, and the Frankenstien monster (because of the grotesque form and the lightening attacks).
Hope this wasn't too long. Thank you and please comment! :D
