Genjutsu is extending ones own chakra flow into the other by using the nerve system to control the senses.
Powering up Ki would disrupt the Genjutsus chakra flow due to the outburst of energy messing up the enemies chakra flow as they can't control it anymore.

Ok, sorry for the bump but, we're most of you guys born and raised in a tree? I'll completely agree, in the narutoverse naruto is god and genjutsu is impossible to break, ie itachi, however it doesn't matter what genjutsu goku is put in. they're isn't a weapon that anyone in the world of naruto has that can scratch him so even if he's placed in a genjutsu they can't kill him while he's unconscious. And for itachis, goku spent years training his mind so it would be next to impossible to break his spirit. And shadow possession wouldn't work either because even if shikamaru takes over goku's body, as impossible as it is, shikamaru couldn't control gokus powers, which would be the only thing that could kill him, as they're a certain mental state you'd have to have to use his powers, example would be when captain ginyu took over gokus body. Ok and for naruto, even kyuubi would be strong enough to hurt goku. I would argue that his speed would rival gokus until he went kaoken or higher. The only things that I think would effect goku in narutoverse would be the third hokage/ narutos dad's reaper jutsu, IF the sword could pierce goku. And the jutsu used by pains dude that pulls out someone's soul. In short goku is unmatched. His unrealistic power is just way to overinflated. Sorry for the bump and this is only my opinion. Just had to lay out what I thought.

you of all ppl should know this isn't always true... when naruto asked jiraiya, what would he do if the power up doesn't dispel the genjutsu, Jiraiya answers "then give up"... kakashi made it known, against Itachi's tsukuyomi, breaking out is useless... so this part of narutoverse would handicap goku...



@ OP, btw...when Naruto sees Goku's muscles alone, he'd be like "forget sasuke"...b<3

For one it's saying naruto vs goku! a all out battle even with the 9 tails power at full power naruto could'nt beat goku in SS2, ss1 on the other hand it would be close but goku can get hit by a blast that can destroy half the earth and walk away naruto's most powerful move.. "Tailed beast bomb" vs a goku's spirit bomb it would crush naruto and goku's 10X faster than naruto in normal state my opinion the only being that can beat goku would be superman and even superman would have a hard time even landing a hit on goku to even do damage so my opinion goku would win. also naruto isnt a very good genjutsu user so genjutsu is out of the topic
