Hidan can't work alone, he works perfectly with kakuzu mainly because of his ability to stich Hidans body parts.

Yamato would just spam wood release and even if hidan would get any blood from him, the time that he takes to make the ritual circle its enough for yamato to take him down. And if he does the circle and the curse thing, yamato would just use that doton jutsu to open the ground in 2 and break the circle ..
