Leafgreen version.
I beat it under 10 hours.
I started off with a Bulbasaur, then cleverly traded it for a Squirtle to counter Charmander.
I then caught myself a Pidgey, Weedle, and Pikachu. I beat Brock with Water gun. My pokemon are all level tennish.
I walk to Mt. Moon and purchase a level 5 Magikarp. I get to Cerulean City. By the time I get to Bill, my pokemon are level 15. I get the S.S. Anne pass and go to Vermilion city. I hop aboard the S.S. Anne cruise ship. I battle Gary with these pokemon.
Wartortle: Level 20
Beedrill: Level 20
Pidgeotto: Level 20
Pikachu: Level 20
Gyarados: Level 20
Weepinbell (I think): Level 20
I beat him no problem and get the HM Cut. I race back to Cerulean and battle Misty. Pikachu and Weepinbell take her out with Vinewhip and thundershock. I race back to Vermilion and quickly catch myself a level 20 Diglet and by the time I'm finished all the trainers in the gym/training him in the field, Diglett evolves into Dugtrio and I take out Lt. Surges electric pokemon with ground moves. I go to Rock Tunnel and pass through it quickly. I then pass through Lavender town to get to Celadon. But before I left Cerulean, I caught myself an Abra. I battle Erika with these pokemon.
Kadabra: Level 30
Victreebell: Level 30
Swift win.
I go into the Team rocket base located in the game corner. I meet Giovanni. Pwned him with Beedrill's brick break. I get the Silph scope. To Lavender Town's Pokemon Tower. I finish the place and get the Pokemon Flute. Now there are two alternate routes to Fuschia city. I take both. By the time I reach Koga's gym of poison pokemon. My pokemon's levels are:
Blastoise: Level 40
Beedrill: Level 40
Gyarados: Level 40
Pikachu: Level 40
Kadabra: Level 40
Pidgeot: Level 40
I forgot to add that I got Fly (HM) and that Victreebell served no more purpose and was replaced by Kadabra.
I take Koga on a date with psychic.
I get Surf and Strength.
I surf towards Cinnabar Island and race through the Pokemon Mansion wwith ease despite its puzzling switches and halls.
I solo with Blastoise against Blaine.
I quickly fly to Saffron city and take out the rockets and Giovanni. I run towards Sabrina's gym. She gets owned by Alakazam's shadow ball.
I go to Viridian city and own Giovanni.
My pokemon level is:
Blastoise: 50
Raichu: 50
Alakazam: 50
Gyarados: 50
Pidgeot: 50
Beedrill: 50

To the pokemon league we go.
I pass through successfully. I beat the elite four with:
Level 65: Blastoise
Level 55: Pidgeot
Level "I forgot": Alakazam
Level 57: Beedrill
Level 57: Raichu
Level 53: Gyarados

All under 10 hours. That includes completely filling up my Pokedex and catching pokemon and doing the 1-3 Island missions. I also beat every single trainer possible. There was no one left to battle. As you can see, I was bored. Can you tell?

That's pretty impressive, I can never finish a pokemon game that fast unless I only train like one pokemon.

You would have to be really bored to do all that. I posted this as some sort of guide. Someone started a new game on it. 999 hours of it. You can see that I was pissed about it.

Did you fill up your pokedex by trading with another game you own?

To get the unobtainable like Alakazam, Gengar, Machamp, Golem and other unobtainable pokemon that aren't available in leafgreen like Electabuzz or Growlithe. I'm trying to fill up the 386 slots in the pokedex again. I'll be trading these pokemon to Emerald so I can EV train all my pokemon and obtain Pokerus for them. I'm going to hatch eggs for every single pokemon excluding legendaries and if I'm lucky, I'll have the perfect nature for some of them. I have a shiny Venonat <3. I'll be sure to catch more shiney's. Then I'll transfer them to Platinum/Pearl/Diamond. Pokemon XD and Pokemon Colosseum is where I'll be getting Ho-oh and Lugia and other pokemon needed neccesarry. I'll be getting Heartgold and Soulsilver, then Black and White. I'm striving to become one of the best, a level 1 smeargle against a level 100 Tyranitar and other 2 hlevel 100's. That battle inspired me to try and become one of the best, but...I barely have anytime for pokemon anymore. I love pokemon but I hate the show. I only accellerated at this game because I played and started new games every once in a while on it and played Firered, Blue and Red versions.

Edit: Yes, I did trade some pokemon, but I caught half/more of the lesser forms, I had to trade ones like Dragonite though.

Lolwut?

I usually take my time with Pokemon games. I know they are usually long and repetitive so I don't set time limits. I was stuck at a certain point in Crystal for like 200 hours or so...but in that time, I trained my whole team to level 100 instead.

I applaud you for your efforts and cunning plan though.:)

You mean me wanting to become a pokemon master? I know alot, but knowing and knowing whats best isn't going to get where I want to be. The least you can do is start. You need effort and need to work hard toward such a feat. You would need to know all the basic and advanced tips in the book. Extensive knowledge about pokemon is key, but actually putting the effort into it is just as important.
