Deidara vs Earth Kingdom Ba Sing Se

Mission Briefing: Pain, the Akatsuki leader, through the work of Zetsu and secretly Madara, has decided that capturing Aang the current Avatar would very help in benefiting in his cause for temporary peace through war.
Just after the sealing 4 Tailed Demon Monkey and before Deidara could chase after Sasuke. Pain has ordered Deidara to go to the biggest city of that world, Ba Sing Se to cause a major panic and to draw out the Avatar.
The Earth Kingdom is currently at peace after the war with the Fire Nation had ended.


Deidara must destroy the entire Earth Kingdom City of Bang Sing Se and he has two pouches of clay full.

Knowledge: Deidara knows that the main Earth Kingdom Palace and military headquarters are in the middile of the city and he knows Earthbenders can utilize machinery to throw aerial rock missiles.


Note: Remember that Ba Sing Se is much much bigger than the hidden villages. Consider that in mind.

Because the wall is massive. Like, a mile up. Deidara has never flown that high up fast enough to not be spotted and owned by the Terra Team.

Having literally hundreds of giant boulders thrown at you all at once isn't easy to dodge.

How do you know its a mile high up? Not to mention it wasn't that high if I recall.

Terra Team is made up of dozens of soldiers per section of the wall. That's hundreds of soldiers all throwing boulders at Deidara at hundreds of mph.

He went high, but not quickly enough to dodge all those rocks.

Appa flies from one side of the world to the other in a day. He can scale a wall with ease.

Flying from one side to the world in a day is irrelevent here.

When he got to the outer wall he was already way above it.
Why can't Deidara do the same? When he is on a Clay Bird. And

Terra Soldiers if I recall do not possess the machinery that the Royal Earthbenders use to toss them in the air.

Also Terra Team is just a small elite team. Most of the them are just regular earthbenders. They never had experience of an aeriel attacker so they have no reason to have the machinery up there. Unless someone can show me that is.

If Appa who is a bigger target was able to evade the so called hundreds of rocks in the middle of the city (he had minor assistance from Aang and Toph)

Why can't Deidara who was casually evading Gaara's sand attacks and they were still pretty fast back then.



Also how come you don't include Deidara's possible retaliation.
Also if Deidara's bird flying high was knocked some how why can't he just do his normal shinobi old school style shunshin no jutsu.

I have to agree with Zigzag on that point Sagey.

First off, the wall was not a mile high,
second, from what we've seen, Deidara's clay bird has faster flying feats than Oppa, meaning that scaling the wall in a short amount of time, should be rather easy.

But, I still believe that Ba Sing Se will be the victor.

Hundreds to thousands of rocks being tossed at him for different points in the city.

Di Lee rock gloves are pretty precise and could be used to render Deidara's hands useless.

Plus, I am not sure with even two pouches full that Deidara could blow up the entire city. It looked to be at least 5 miles in diameter, and not even C0 is that large of an explosion.
