It barely takes any time at all for Gai to go gates and it won't be needed here. Gai can easily blitz Deidara with 30 meters distance before Deidara can do a thing.

Gates takes a very short moment to activate, much shorter than it takes for Deidara to make a bird, hop on it, and go into the sky.

And even if Deidara manages to go into the sky as Guy goes gates, he can use his summon to help propel himself upwards.

Guy can speedblitz with or without the Gates. Going into the 6th Gate (or any gate for that matter) barely takes any time at all, while making a clay bird takes a sec or two.

Seeing as gates takes a very short time to activate while deidara's C4 takes a good amount of prep time seeing has he takes a good 5-10 seconds to puke up his giant Clay self. So If deidara went for C4 he'd get blitzed seeing that to make his bird takes about 3 seconds, then the say 7 seconds to puke up his giant self so in the 10 seconds deidara takes to get C4 ready he'd be blized by 6 gated guy who takes him out with MorningPeacock. the only clay deidara could make before he gets blitzed MAYBE is C1 which isn't stopping gai
