Okay.

Unlike The Final Fantasy Games, we can move around freely during battle. However, dodging constantly is unacceptable. Attacks must be countered with attacks. No spell happens instantaneously. It has to hit your opponent like any attack. Your opponent can counter, dodge or block.

All spells deal Damage (DA), which affect your Health Points (HP).

For Example:
All spells should be bold or parenthesized.

Luna: I cast Flamestrike toward my opponent, hoping to severally burn his body.

Artemis: Using Elude to defend my body, I protect myself from Luna's Flamestrike.

Flamestrike deals 35 Damage.

Elude costs 30 Magic Points (MP).

So, Artemis would take 5 points of Damage. Makes sense?

Shields purchased from The Weapon Shop will be discussed later.

hey my opinion dosent really matter since im not gonna join this but i feel the need to ask this i have final fantasy 13 and if i remember correctly since i havent played in a while flame strike wasent a fire ball attack their weapon caught on fire and they attacked with it...cept for the ever awesome sazh who shot flaming bullets of epicness at the enemys so did you change that up or something

Well, characters can customize the appearance of their spells. The damage remains the same. I wanted my Flamestrike to be little fireballs. But yes, you are correct.

As she dashes closer, I use the length of my blade to its advantage. I parry her blade downward while jumping, blocking the horizontal attack. While in the air, I switch Paradigms to Synergist, Quickly casting protect as her attack hits to no avail from my magic. As I land, I switch Paradigms to Ravager once more and preform sparkstrike. Lightning arcs around my blade, suddenly expanding as the blade attempts to hit your neck at great velocity.

Flamestrike = 35 DA
Water = 30 DA
Elemental Advantage = 10 DA

Lightning > Water
Water > Fire
Fire > Ice
Ice > Wind
Wind > Lightning

So, Water would have overwhelmed Flamestrike while dealing an additional 5 DA to me.

However, Fearsiphon was activated, so this gave Flamestrike an additional 10 DA. So now, Flamestrike would overwhelm Water and deal an additional 5 DA to my opponent.

Also, characters can customize the appearance of their spells, but the damage remains the same.

Protect - Increases resistance to physical damage by 25%. - 30 MP

Make sure you read and understand your spells.

Attack = 20 DA
Protect = Increased physical resistance by 25%

20 - 25% = 15

You take 15 Damage.

After withdrawing Blazefire Saber, her opponent retaliated by extracting his own blade, a dual Katana. Releasing Flamestrike, he countered this incantation with the Water spell. Due to the elemental advantage, the Water spell would have overwhelmed her Flamestrike, but since Fearsiphon was activated, this boosted her Magic by ten damage points, causing five points of damage.

Advancing closer, she swung her blade, which was parried by his before unleashing Attack. Casting the Protect spell, he managed to receive only 75% damage. Swiftly changing into Ravager, she performed Sparkstrike to counter his. Clashing her blade against his, she negated their spells. Jumping back, she shifted Blazefire Saber into a rifle. Pulling its trigger, she fired two Normal Bullets toward his chest.

Normal Bullets will deal 15 DA.
23 Normal Bullets left.

She has Pyro Bullets that are from a gun that is longer than most pistols. So the bullet need to travel trough the whole length gaining more speed. These make it now a high super sonic level. Rfile at such a close range with a norm bullet??

Anyway, seeing as hand guns move at a Trans Sonic level of 1.9 then 2.2 would be shot gun level. Making a rifle a Hypersonic Mach 3 to 4 maybe. Depending on the caliber.

Your like going into super hype mode thinking you Speh or Zacks level. Never at level 1 you are having a hard time blocking spells much less bullets from a rifle.

However, Fearsiphon was activated, so this gave Flamestrike an additional 10 DA. So now, Flamestrike would overwhelm Water and deal an additional 5 DA to my opponent.

Also, characters can customize the appearance of their spells, but the damage remains the same.

Make sure you read and understand your spells.

*As she jumps back, I notice the form of her blade switches. Due to her being at a longer range, I assume it will be a projectile attack. I spin my blade at extreme speed, protecting the height and length of my body. I learn my assumption is right when two bullets hit my rapidly spinning blade as the recoil sends me back a bit. Still in ravager, I use the spell Sparkstrike. My blade sparks with lightning as I dash at her, getting into close range. I pivot around to her right, sending a long slash of lightning in a diagonal upward motion. This slash's AoE is increased dramatically as lightning arcs along my blade. The power is increased due to my guantlets as well as the lightning materia in the gauntlets, increasing its DA from 35 DA to 50 DA. I move fluently with the slash, spinning my blade in a downward arch at her legs with one hand. Then suddenly, with my off hand, I attempt to hit her with a extremely fast right hook. The speed and power of this hook are enhanced from the black gauntlets. Increasing the normal, 10 DA to now 20 DA. (right?) I then jump back, detaching my two blades into both of my hands.*
