Debating Contest Signup.

Hello, and welcome to my debating contest. I've had fun, and it seems like others had fun last time. SO. If you have nothing good to say, don't. I decided that I was going to make it again. The new one is open, because the last one has finally ended.. The signup starts from today to September 5.

We're debating Naruto only.

Rule 1:

You have to give at least three reasons why your candidate would win, that way we have no flamers.

Rule 2:

You cannot spam, you will be banned from the contest, and you will get dereps, also, if you do it enough, I WILL get you infracted.

Rule 3:

You have to mention before your reasons who you think will win so we prevent confusion, which would ruin this.


Rule 4:

Have fun debating and don't worry if you lose because everybody will get a reward for participation.

Rewards!

For the top debaters, you will receive 5 rounds of rep.
For second place, you will get 3 rounds of rep.
For third, you get 2 rounds.
All participants get one round.

Judges:

You can apply to be a judge, but you cannot participate, you will keep track of not only how many wins a person gets, but how good their debating is, accuracy, and things like that. CLOSED GROUP. WE ALREADY HAVE OUR 5 JUDGES.

Rep Givers:

You will give rep to winners, please do not enter for this if you have less than 5 rep power.

SYSTEM SETUP

We'll be debating on teams, these teams will be set up by debating skills. This way, we always have even teams and the contest is fair for everybody.

Battles will be made by judges.

Debaters will take turns debating. For example, if I were on SS4 Gogeta's team, he might debate first, and in the next fight, I'd debate.

If your team loses twice in a row, (This means neither person wins.) you lose that bracket and are knocked out of the tournament.

Each rep donor gives one round. We have three donors already, so each donor will give out 1 rep to each participant in the end. Then according, them might give extra. For example, if my team came in first place, our donors would give five reps each. That means Jin, Kuro, and Sage all give out rep 5 TIMES to the first place winner. That is equal to 1 round.

It is going to be a tournament, if you lose a debate, you're out of the competition.

Yeah, except my Laptop is the only computer I have and my computer crashed, and it had a 100,000 word story on it that Kisame and I were working on.

My thoughts are:

Extend the debate matches to HST, not just Naruto.

Instead of one judge, multiple judges, so there will be more than one opinion, and make it easier on the judges.

Completely randomize the teams with something like Randomizer.com so there aren't any stacked teams. (i.e. Miles and Flash)

Okay, how about the following:

~Change teams for sure. I think you've got that covered though. Either random or choosing. You'd have to have faith in your partner anyway so if its a pairing like Miles and Myself it wouldn't make much of a difference.
~The Judging needs massive changing. Just because one person disagrees with you or thinks you're wrong then you lose. I don't care how smart the judge is. It should be voted on by multiple participants/people/judges.

And this was an afterthought but to reinforce the choosing our teams part, give chosen characters.

e.g. Pairing me and Miles up on a team shall it happen, give us the fight "Tenten vs Pain" and force us to debate for Tenten or the like.

As I said its an afterthought I highlydoubt it'd work.

I don't think it was ever distributed, because they never got a hold of the rep givers. Except for me, and I'm going to rep later when I find the list of participants. I also need to know who won each of the matches so I know who to rep more than once.

The thing is, it doesn't sound right, the rep deal.

If I'm right then all the rep givers are supposed to rep the champion (myself), 5 Times each? If so that's like almost 1k Rep and it doesn't seem right..

And just from Participating all the rep givers rep the participants and will all the rep givers with around 30 Rep, then thats still a bit more than 100 Rep just for participating..

I dunno but it must not be how rep's distributed otherwise a lot of noobs are gonna be pretty happy.

Well, I dunno, the rep giving just doesn't seem right unless one rep giver reps all the participants, then the next place, two rep givers rep them once, then the next place, three do it, then so on until five, and that's what the "rounds" are basically.

But I dunno, that seems more likely than "Zomg I'm getting 1k Rep" But I dunno.

Because in a contest in real life, somebody in third would get a bronze trophy, so perhaps there can be a character limit for each title, like so.

1st place: Unlimited. (Not to the point that it is too big.)
2nd: 100 characters.
3rd: 50 characters.
