How come Naruto has only lost one fight?

How come Naruto has only lost one fight (against Sasuke) in the entire series (Naruto and Naruto Shippuden)? By now he should have lost, at leat, one or two more battles, dont you think?

Because Naruto has the sense to train and prepare for fights before they happen. And because the plot won't allow him to die. Often in the ninja world, losing means dying. And Naruto, being the main character, has a "No Death" pass for until the end of the series.

Naruto wins 99% of fights because he is the main character. He only lost to Sasuke because it would give him another goal and add some drama. Naruto's only loss was a plot device.

Other maiin characters, such as Ichigo and Luffy, have lost several times. Being the main character doesnt mean nothing. Kishimoto just needs to kill off Naruto and figure a crappy way to bring him back to life.

That is not true in other anime the main character loses a lot bleach (Ichigo) and One Piece (Luffy) those characters get the ;);););) beaten out of them on a regular bases. In Naruto they over do Naruto's power a little to much with a lot of power ups during the story.

Sasuke isnt the main character of the series, if he was the series would be called Sasuke (Shippuden). Besides Sasuke has lost fights against Itachi in the first half of the series and if I recall correctly against Aoi Rokush

I am sure that it is similar in a variety of other cases to, such as in Black Cat, so mostly, it's always in the plot, that the main Character, has to at least loose one battle, just to have some great life/plot changing experience, which usually ends up changing there Character, completely, in some way or form, so really, it was due to happen ...

Since most of Naruto's battle are do or die and the enemies he face are never in a merciful mood unlike most anime villians who most of the times spare their victims he kinda have to win.
