Bleach: Soul Society Not Good As It Should Be?

Do you guys agree the Soul Society isn't what it cracks up to be. In Season One, Rukia said the place was a Paradise but when Ichigo and the Others entered it, the place just seemed like Fuedal Japan. From what I've seen

It's kind of empty and full of a whole lot of nothing.
The Rukongai districts seem like "The bad side of town" :|

it's "paradise" because you only need water to survive and you live for a very long time.(unless your a soul reaper, then you need food to)

I always thought that when I die I do not want to go to soul society. And Rukia totally lied! She said "you won't be hungry" yet most of her childhood friends died of starvation. You also still have to pay for things and and you can die after you died. That makes no sense, so in my opinion, soul society might be some sort of limbo.

actually u r sort of wrong. they can't die from starvation. in the soul society u dont have to 'eat' all u need is water. but yea the soul society kinda sucks lol
