I should also let you know that that was a Beta version and the characters only had two health bars so the Ultimates were shortened in that gameplay. The button mashing is still in the full game.

Be honest guys, when you played UNS a bunch didn't you get sick of the 30 second video every time a character did an ultimate?

I am a pretty big fan of Broken Bond on 360 and I play it all the time. The Jutsu's in that game don't take that long to do but I do tend to get pretty sick of the animations after seeing it 300 times. If the lasted as long as UNS1 do it would really make online matches last forever.

dude i cant blame you at all they took out all the fun things the few that storm had and now give us this trash heres a list of things to improve before i spend a red cent
1 please add more jutsus like accel 1 we had so many specials and supers before storm came and blew them all away

2 please give us the option of turning those mennacingly annoying supports foolishness off if they wanted to make tag battle they should have done it like mvc3 not like this i rather tag a character in than get all that stupid destraction.

3 make us be able to jump and do specials in the air like how they do in the tv show ever since storm i wonder why we cant control the direction of the special attacs for example i hate not being able to control kakashji chidori. and why are there no air throws

4 where is half the cast? are you kidding mei cant play as kimmiaru or hokages 1 2 3 because they werent in shippuden accel 1 had all the characters previous before and the new ones another dumb storm feature which made me hate all storm games

5 the jutsus and graphics got so watered down thanks to the xbox i hate looking at it more and more the gameplay video did not impress me at all looks like a bootlegged street fighter and the specials are choppy and unreal

6 they should have made the game 2d if they couldnt squeese in all the old things that we liked about unh games cyber connect sold out bigtime to support thier obvious drug habits lol cause you would have to be on some good heroine to botch up this much gimme a break

7 no more running around in 3d on rooftops my son loved this the most now its not in it anymore wow the whole game should be in 2.5 d if thats the case.

Having short "ougis" (which aren't ougis anymore, exactly due to their new length) for a Ultimate Ninja game is like having shorter legs for a human. You can imagine how a man in his 30's would look like with the legs of a 8 year old kid, right? This is what's happening to the game now as well.


And what do you mean that online matches would last "forever"?! No offence but that's an extremely dull statement. You mean to say that you want to start a battle and end it after 11 seconds? That would look like more of a quarrel than a battle. It's called a battle exactly because it's long.


Where the hell is the fun in a 20 second "fight"?!http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff286/nfforums/NF%20smilies/notrust.gif If you want 20 second fights, then set the handicap in your favour, hit the opponent 4 times and there.

Now another point is that the UNS1 ougis could be STOPPED using button mash, and you could stop your "30 second torture". Nevertheless, now in UNS2 even if you wanted to stop it, you can't, and you'll take the same damage as if it was a 30 second ougi, but due to the lack of button mash that's a disadvantage to YOU. Nothing is yet 100% certain so I hope that they consider fixing this before it's too late.


If you've never played UNS1 or any other Ultimate Ninja game, except the PSP ones, then trust me. You missed a lot. Just by watching videos on YouTube won't make you think otherwise. It's one thing to watch and a completely another to play.

I think it's crystal clear that I agree with TC. Short "ougis" = disadvantage to you.

You can't say that it sucks though. You still have boss fights. They will be amazing. A lot of cinematic action is included. And then there are all of the Akatsuki being playable. So at least that makes it better to some extent.

HECK NO! He's gonna RAGEQUIT mid-ougi. Now granted I would like to see the button input to lessen or stop the damage like in previous games since it'd make sense to stop your enemy's attack and save your own hide.

here is a list of things that wil make me even consider buying this instant flop

1 please add more jutsus like accel 1 we had so many specials and supers before storm came and blew them all away

2 please give us the option of turning those mennacingly annoying supports foolishness off if they wanted to make tag battle they should have done it like mvc3 not like this i rather tag a character in than get all that stupid destraction.

3 make us be able to jump and do specials in the air like how they do in the tv show ever since storm i wonder why we cant control the direction of the special attacs for example i hate not being able to control kakashji chidori. and why are there no air throws

4 where is half the cast? are you kidding mei cant play as kimmiaru or hokages 1 2 3 because they werent in shippuden accel 1 had all the characters previous before and the new ones another dumb storm feature which made me hate all storm games

5 the jutsus and graphics got so watered down thanks to the xbox i hate looking at it more and more the gameplay video did not impress me at all looks like a bootlegged street fighter and the specials are choppy and unreal

My friend going to be someone who deals with genes, and me being a psychologist, maybe we will find something out. Yeah, IMO that was major spamming, although the fight was cut short and skipped in parts, which sucks cause the more gameplay we see the better! I just really want to see the final product, i mean, we are closing on the release date. If it stands at Sept. 28th, we only have...(counts on a calander) some where around 68-70 days left until the games release. It's only like two months, the game should be just about finished usually by now.

Well... you will get used to the game... when I first played UNS1 I used to take a lot of Ultimates in the face... o_o... after a while you learn from each char when they will use it and prevent yourself of getting hit... thats also when you start thinking on combos that will make it easier for you to hit your own ultimates... and thats when you reach the 'other' level of playing the game... which is the best xD.... that stress... fast heart beating... cursing... thats what an exciting game should look like... agreed? xD

your going overboard there are no 20 sec in storm 1 thats false they could have made them longer i think is what people are complaining about. they were about 3-8 seconds in storm 1 now there like 1-4 seconds it lacks style compared to storm 1.

They are still interactive (with the button mashing, as you call it), in fact they have improved on the system from UNS1, adding additional jutsu depending on how well you do. It is probably that they just took the interactive videos out of the demo to minimize the file size and to just give the user a taste of what it is like in the full game.

Oh, and I don't think its a big deal having to wait like 20 seconds for a video to play out, seriously, its not that long.

There were probably trying to make the fights more fast-paced and fluid. I'm a little disappointed that there won't be any enormous explosions and flashy cut scenes from the ultimates, but I don't think removing that component will ruin the game.

At everyone else saying no button mashing and short ougis = fail remember this: This is a fighting game not an RPG. Will I miss the button mashing? Yeah abit but it's an ultimate attack. If it hits its supposed to do damage not give your enemy a chance to buffer that damage down. Do they do that in the anime? HECK NO! I want my FINAL ATTACK to hit FULL FORCE not get blocked and the damage nerfed. Besides they give you chances to get out of it. Either sacrifice a support to take the blow or dodge the blow or KnJ. If you mess all those up? Guess what? BIG ATTACK TO THE FACE!! But hey this is just my opinion on the matter. Besides they'll make up for the flashy stuff with the boss fights in Story mode and their over the top shenanigans.

I hate to burst your bubble but the only reason PTS characters were in Accel 1-2 is because the Shippuden roster wasn't filled in yet. Now that we have a nice selection of Shippuden characters they don't need to keep adding PTS characters. As for Haku and Zabuza yeah I too wish they were in the first Storm but that's in the past now. Also how do you know wall fights aren't in this game? Also no Accel 1 SUCKS compared to Accel 2.

I have to say that I did enjoy the long ultimate cut-scenes, however I always hated the way that the command was set up, especially in UNS1 because my brother was better at it than me and I could never get mine to work because my brother only had to get one extra command in to interupt my ultimate. So for most of my battles in storm 1 because I was fighting my brother who always gets like 15 in the command, I had to learn to beat him with him using ultimates and me not using them, I developed some very specific battle strategies and learned to defeat my brother with him using ultimates, so I would not miss the command button mashing at all.

If you are really worried I'd wait till reviews and more vids of the game come out after the release. That way you will know everything about it (well just about everything). It'd save you $60 if you end up not liking it. OR buy it used from Gamestop (when someone trades it in) and if you don't like it you can return it within 7 days for a refund of all your money.

I had already seen that a long time ago (2 days). They are talking about the cutscenes in the boss battles at least I think they are. Their are no long ultimates.

I love how people pick and choose at things and claiming that because the game isn't what they wanted it sucks now. I will however admit there are things CC2 should/could have done better but those minor gripes aside they did do very well on this game.

@LONESPARK If the difference in you buying the game and not buying the game is 6 seconds more of the ultimate jutus and button mashing then you real should not buy it, chances are you will find some other small thing to get mad over.

i dont care who knight is because i have to agree with him. the short ougis and lack of wall fighting and no 3dmode and poor awakinings and ougis for some characters is really bothering me also i dont know if this game will last for me personally. i noticed how people who like the game always gets the last word. on this thread cant you let people complain ?

I personally dont care if there is no wall fighting, the ougis are short, and the awakenings arent like in Storm 1 they added a lot of special features and fixed all of the problems wrong with Storm 1. IMO all those sacrifices are worth it.

Karin ougi seems to be longer then the ones we seen in the demo's... her ougi makes Sasuke dragon chidori look like it'll be his unlockable ougi. also naruto Rasengan Shurinken looks like it'll be his ougi... so I dont think all ougi's will be as short as they seem! check out kisame, Konan, Deva pain, Shikamaru, and Kakuzo's ougi's that was shown in the trailers...

I think I need the link to this rasenshuriken bcuz I havent seen it in gameplay at all... and why are u guys complaining about short ougi's if u know there's more then one? the trailers are packed full of ougi's! those arent just scenes from story mode... this game isnt a movie you know...

I agree I would rather have two ultimate jutus per character then one long unrealistic one but it has not been confirmed that every single character has more than one characters like Ino, Karin, Choji are hard to find one good ultimate for let alone two. A lot of the trailers are scene shots from the story mode no character has been shown to have more than one ultimate but Naruto. Even tho we know more than just him will have multiple ultimates we have not seen them.
