Most likely because he only uses one eye. Not two like the rest of the users.

It's possible he's blind in that eye.

@mrsticky: but then how would he...aim his jutsu at someone having only that eye open.

Back when Danzo was still alive I was hoping Kakashi would take his eye, that way Kakashi would never go blind. But it doesn't seem to be a problem so far.

Kakashi's Magnekyo is so mysterious.

he is not an actual sharinghan user, he doesnt over use it and has it in one eye thats my idea

If he overuse it .. only the left eye will blind .. not the other

He's not blind but he has shown signs of becoming blind...more specifically when he fought Itachi's clone and hinted at him that he had the Mangekyo and that he knew about the user becoming blind over time. His process has been slower because he tries not to use the sharingan much less the Mangekyo if possible since it drains his chakra so quickly.

It's possible he's blind in that eye.

But then how would he use his Kamui without wasting it? also he uses his normal sharingan to help him in battles like when he fought Pain.

He doesn't use it all the time, he has it covered up most of the time.

Even if he doesn't "use" the sharingan (a.k.a covered), it's always going to be on. Other than a constant chakra drain, he doesn't suffer any other ill effect.

Worse case scenario, he'll lack depth perception when his Sharingan eye goes blind.

i think he hasnt gotten close to blind because he doesnt abuse the eye like others do and he only uses it when he really needs to. also it might be because he copied it from itachi so it could be he wont go blind because he never really unlocked his own

I think it must be the same reason why Uchiha can take a relative's eyes and never go blind. The Uchiha only lose the sight if they use the Mangekyo with the eyes they are born with, and Kakashi wasn't born with his Sharigan.
We still don't know what the mechanism for blindness is, but that makes sense to me.

Well as many others have said it is not his eye it was given to him from Obito so it may not ever lose its light.
Also Kakashi has only uses MS on rare occasions not all the time like the Sauce.

I am not really sure about this one. I mean kakashi is mostly using only one eye for last 20 years or so. And he still jumps form tree to tree. lol

Danzo didn't have a MS.

- Using Sharingan drains his chakra fast. With MS it's much worse.
- I don't think it's possible to copy a kekkei genkai ability.

As far as I know, Kakashi has just learnt the Mangekyo Sharingan, during Shippuden therefore is recently new to having it, also Kakashi chooses not to use the Mangekyo Sharingan very much at all, he normally uses his normal Sharingan. If Kakashi started using his Mangekyo Sharingan more, you will probably find that his eye will become less effective over time and then may, eventually go blind, though no one knows for sure why the Uchiha actually go blind, it might be in their blood as a genetic flaw, hence they become blind, by using it to much. If this is so, Kakashi actually isn't an Uchiha therefore this genetic flaw may not be present within him, though, still, one must think that, there should be a draw back to that power even if it is placed within another, the question is what will be Kakashi's draw back, besides the obvious lack of energy.

Kakashi would go blind in that eye if he over used the mangekyo, when he fought Itachi that time, he said "I wonder how bad you eyesight has gotten" hinting that he had noticed a change in his own eyesight as a result of his using the Mangekyo.

How was Itachi able to fight as well as he did with BOTH his eyes being blind?

Agreed. Information about the MS isn't exactly common knowledge
so the most likely way for Kakashi to know it causes blindness is
from experiencing itself.

I doubt Kakashi is as blind as Itachi or Sasuke though
because I doubt he's used MS as much as they have.

kakashi is not the original user of his Sharingan eye so i've gotta wonder if he dosen't have a partial EMS?

hmph since hes not an uchia kakashi will get drained and loose chakra which wont allow him to spam the jutsu this is why he can still see best out the sharingan eye he has been so exellent at this, noticed he fought pain with one eye the shargn. if he was going blind he would have used both eyes and he always keep his eye covered to heal or recharge its sight

He wasn't exactly blind...YET. He was getting there but he could still see. Itachi was just an amazing fighter so much he didn't need EMS to intimidate Madara ;) (or Tobi whatever you want to call him)
