Danzo wins by feats.

Hashirama is nigh-featless.

Through hype, he would stomp, as he was able to defeat Madara. Madara>Danzo, obviously.

Imo, Prime Madara with EMS is much better than Sharingarm Danzo, who even Sasuke could put up a fight with.

Like I said you don't know how strong Prime Madara is, he could simply be weak but can control creatures like Kyuubi.

If he was weak then how could he have fought so many clans and brought the Uchiha to victory and lead the Uchiha. If he was so weak then why didn't one of the stronger Uchiha just take over?

I'm pretty sure it was said Madara was the strongest Uchiha for a reason, otherwise the other ones must have been really weak.

If Prime Madara is weak then that really detracts from Hashirama having any strength, despite the fact that many times he has been stated to be among the strongest in the series. And if Madara was his rival then he would at least have to be able to compete with him.

Also, if Madara could control Kyuubi why not Danzo? Having Sharingan probably wouldn't make you immune to EMS, and Madara could easily have Danzo kill himself.
