It's confirmed that it's going to go a little past the current episode, which is 162 in the subbed Shippuden, just until the end of that arc.

Exactly, I dont even think the dub version is that great anyway. If he doesnt want spoilers then he shouldn't play the story mode or just play up to the arc hes on

Besides, I know everybody has it`s own preference, but I would rather watch subbed version, anyway. But if you really want to keep up with the dub, then just play up to the chapter/arc in which the dub is just like Mikahel is. Plus, when it is released, or should I say until it is released there will be many dubbed episodes already. Then you watch a few episodes and again play a little.

Loooool. The "Believe it" is one of the main reasons I hate the English dub. To be honest the english dub isnt that bad, I think it's just Naruto that has the really crappy voice. He sounds so corny/cheesy and his stupid annoying voice takes the seriousness out of the intense scenes. I like everyone elses voice everyone elses english dub except his which is why I will be playing the game in Japanese.

yeah personally i started with the dubbed and thought it was normal..it wasn't any worse then the DBZ voices..but the english versions go to slow so I started watching subs..and now I even play the games in Japanese and just read the subs in the games..its just seems to go better with the characters

same here when it comes to Naruto however I was the complete opposite when it came to DBZ. I thought the english dub was absolutely brilliant and I loved the english soundtracks to dbz, much more lively than the japanese version.

yeah in DBZ it seemed like they all sounded like girls or little kids..especially Goku..he sounded like a birtch in the japanese version..but in english it fit his appearance wayyyyy bettter

The best idea is to just play up to the part he's currently at. But as you guys said, it's up to him. It's his choice to get the game.

I read the spoilers so I atleast know what's going on but some things you can see coming a mile away like Sasuke fighting Itachi for instance.

Also im not buying it because even if I play the story little by little some of the characters will have jutsu I have not seen yet. And how can you guys say that the dub is bad? If you dont speak japanese then how can you know if japanese voice acting is good?

Because the dub doesnt give the same effect that the regular japanese voices give. if it doesnt sound right,or the way it should sound, then it sounds "bad".really its just personal preference and what ppl are used to.

Lets put it like this: You give chance to someone who doesn`t speak english nor Japanese. Both versions are subbed to his language and Japanese still seems much better!!!

but back on topic with the UNS2 story,i just really REALLY hope they focus on all the emotional moments of each arc. that will put the game's story mode over the top.

like could you just imagine how emotional the cutscenes would be??for example,when they save gaara and he is dead and naruto cries and all that stuff.

i think every emotional part of the series should be made into cutscenes regardless of how long.it should almost be straight from the anime into the game.then you can choose to skip or fast forward.

The English voice acting is not all that bad.(Itachi voice is one of my faves).

No offense but you could always read a story synopsis/summary to get up to speed. It's not like this is Neon Genesis Evangilon or some other complex anime where you need a friggin' road map to understand the story.
