And the puppets are made of wood. Itachi burned an entire forest with Ammy pretty easily, and considering forests are wood and puppets are wood, the logic stands. Besides, if Sasori gets hit it's going to hit his entire body, including his heart, so a transfer wouldn't matter.

He still couldn't insta burn a forest, took some time.

Considering how fast he was able to transfer the heart when he fought Sakura and Chiyo, there is a possibility he could avoid it. Also, I highly doubt Itachi would be able to get everything if Sasori were to use 100 Puppets, there's no way Itachi is gonna see every single puppet surrounding him and Sasori and be able to use Ammy. If he tried he would exhaust his chakra.

Regardless, Susanoo gives him the win.

Honestly though the only thing I see putting Sasori down is Susanoo. Without it, Itachi really has nothing to take him out. I underrated Itachi's stamina before, but either way it still boils down solely to Susanoo.

Ammy has a slight chance of taking out Sasori, but if Itachi can't get Sasori the first time it'll cost him a lot.

And Itachi does have good fire style jutsu,
but he can't produce them quick enough to destroy the hundred puppet's attacking him at once.

Sasori may not be Itachi level but he's got enough power to make him a threat.

Far as I'm concerned I only know of a few characters that could actually deal with Sasori's poison.

Iron Sand World Order has a huge range and only really fast characters could dodge it.

Characters who don't know Sasori is a puppet and has a heart end up wasting a lot of time trying to kill a body that merely holds the heart.

Iron Sand needles are fast enough to hit all but the fastest characters in Naruto.

Genjutsu is meaningless on Sasori because he is a puppet. Sasori also has 298 puppets in total.

While he may not be top of the food chain, Sasori is a huge threat to most of the Narutoverse. Only reason Sasori was killed off was because of PNJ, if Sasori had lived that could've caused so much trouble for the protagonists.
