Who wins in a fight?
In-verse, the Egyptian gods, easily.
Which are more useful in a duel?
The Egyptian gods require three sacrifices and can't be special summoned for more than one turn. They are immune to card effects that specifically designate a target(which isn't nearly as useful as it sounds)
With two extra sacrifices, Obelisk can clear the enemy's field of monsters, but forfeits its attack that turn.
Slifer gains attack power 1000 times the number of cards in your hand, which, you're usually better off using the cards than keeping them, and automatically destroys any normal or flip summoned monster with 2000 or less defense.
Ra's attack and defense is determine by the monsters you sacrificed for it. It has two extra abilities
1: Pay 1000 Life Points to destroy one monster on the Field and remove it from the game.
2: Pay all but 1 Life Points, and increase ATK and DEF by the amount of Life Points paid.
----
By contrast: The Earthbound Immortals require only two sacrifices, can attack directly and can not be targeted for battle. They've also got a whole slew of support cards to go along with them. Their only limitation is that they need a field spell to remain on the field.
Chacu Challhua: As long as it is faceup in defense mode, your opponent can not perform their battle phase. Once per turn, at the cost of Chacu Challhua being able to attack that turn, deal direct damage to your opponent equal to half Chacu Challhua's defense.
Ccarayhua: When this card is destroyed by a card effect, except by its own effect, destroy all cards on the field.
Ccapac Apu: If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's ATK.
Cusillu: If this face-up card you control would be destroyed by battle, you can Tribute 1 other monster you control instead, and halve your opponent's Life Points. Very useful if your opponent manages to summon a monster stronger than Cusillu.
Aslla piscu: When this card is removed from the field, except by its own effect, destroy all face-up monsters your opponent controls, and inflict 800 damage to your opponent for each monster destroyed.
Wiraqocha Rasca: When this card is Normal Summoned, return up to 3 cards you control to your Deck, except this card, and discard the same number of cards from your opponent's hand at random. This card gains 1000 ATK for each card discarded by this effect.
As you can see, the Earthbound Immortals rape hard.
Which are cooler?
The Earthbound Immortals easily.

Fight wise Egyptian God cards.
Actual game wise Earthbound Immortals easily. Not to mention you can add them in other decks that rely on field spells.
Also in the anime they couldn't be affected by Spells and Traps although Monster Effects could if I recall correctly.

What he said^
Egyptian gods are good for show in the series but usefulness is limited compared to Earthbound immortals, in my opinion.

In show, Egyptians rape hard.
In real life, Earthbound Immortals rape hard.
